Why .... such strength and ambition and no fourth position before turns. Totally turned inwards before each pirouette... why...... Also what's with the relaxed cou de pied in the air. I think its the left foot. Why... these technical mistakes could be corrected so easily... Anyway. Great dynamics but you gotta turn those feet outwards before turning.
Generally speaking I do agree with you, but he’s one of the best turners in the world, and that set works for him. It’s not as beautiful, but his style is still very clean, and it allows him to do 8 pirouettes with ease
@@SrtZipTop it works for him because its a (bad) habit. There are so many dancers that turn eight pirouettes or more without inwards fourth position. What he is doing is too extreme. And the worst part is that it could be corrected. I would never sacrifice the quality of the technique for the quantity. I don't think that's what the art of ballet is about.
Are you blind or am I? No doubt the talent is amazing but come on guys. Late on the entrance, every single jump starts with a flex foot. Flex feed before every jump, every pirouette starts from the competition studio fourth positions, all turned in, no classical preparation is in six position. This is a Classical competition, not jazz competition . Talent ? Yes. But I whoever cleaned and coached him shouldn’t be coaching classical dancers. Obviously, they have no knowledge of basic foundation to every preparation of every combination. He needs to find a good teacher to take him to the next level. He deserves to be in ABT, but he will never put foot on ABT’s stage if he doesn’t change his coach . Sloppy and dirty performance. By the talent of the kid is some of the best I’ve seen. Thank your parents and God for those genetics. Absolutely incredible.

awful turnout for a competition. and not to mention the sickled feet. work on your technique before your tricks. it will make it much more pleasent for the trained eye to look at.

Merveilleuse, explosive! This variation is always spectacular. Bravo, Jorge!
Grs.
holy shit 6 in attitude wow.
Outstanding! Outrageous! Awesome! How... is... this... possible?
he must had have a cuban teacher, this is the style of male dancers in my beloved CUBA
Asi parece. Vistes que belleza!
He trained at the national ballet school of Cuba I’m pretty sure
Cuba has developed dance schools in many countries; in Portugal one can see the Cuban style flourish!

@@ankontini I completely agree. This video is 6 years ago though and if you go to his Instagram it seems as he fixed his fourth before turning

Hey, grow up!
@@mercyobourke8776 Exactly. YGAP’s audience needs to grow up.
Supper ,PERFECT DONCER !!! WHERE HE COME FROM ????
Cuba.
What's with the flexed foot ??
And the parallel wonky 4th pirouette preparation?
The screamers in the audience are so provencial.
First, learn to spell. It’s ‘PROVINCIAL’. Then, find out a little about ballet; you may like it.

Fortunately, there are a handful of dancers who reach the athleticism and courage to attempt these challenging rôles.

I find his lack of underwear quite distracting.
Sandra Eveline Cortes He has a dance belt on
lol - ain't no way he'd be dancing like that without any undergarments!
Dance belt... the male dancer’s version of a jock strap.
It's a dancers belt. A cup that holds everything in place.
I dont what type of belt he wears but it is always distracting.
