    Starting at $30 is nuts. Hard to find over $25 for myself and I'm not new.
    Years of experience with a variety of carpentry, no record, don't do drugs or drink, in shape and good looking, smart, well spoken... couldn't ask for a better apprentice.
    Problem isn't just lack of workers. Most companies can't retain or attract quality employees.

    So I’m in college right now my sophomore year, I play lacrosse in college and have a 3.5 gpa. I was in a trade school in high school and did carpentry. The more I’m at school I can’t see my self sitting at a desk anymore. My parents want me to go to Williams which is a trade college. I don’t know much about carpentry and don’t know if I should do carpentry or something eles. Or should I just head back home and get a job somewhere. Anyone have suggestions

    Thanks Nate I’m actually thinking about moving to Idaho within the next year, I got out of the army roughly 8 months ago and attended welding school on the way out. I’m currently a tig welder but familiar with all processes, however I’m wanting to myself within the trades I would like to start working with heavy equipment whether as a operator or mechanic do you think it would be beneficial to go back to trade school for this?

    • @raisetheline
      @raisetheline 12 дней назад

      I would look for local commercial heavy equipment company and get a job with them. You will be paid lower than what you want. But man, you will not have to pay to learn and you can move up quick if you show the willingness to succeed and move up fast and if not, find a different company there’s good ones out there.

      Location, How old are you and do you have any schooling? My two cents is really learn how to read a tape measure. It is not hard and you can learn through RUclips RUclips. You’d be very surprised how many people cannot measure if you know how to.
      Find your nearest Bricklayers Union and sign up they will teach you everything you need to know about a trade that is very high skill and very high paying!
