Cincinnati is a vibe all on its own, it ain't like no place else in Ohio and in the midwest in general. 💯

I am hesitant to say this, but we often stay at the Hampton Inn in Newport, which has river view rooms and is walking distance to all the KY primary spots. Hilton properties are not usually my first pick for hotels (not because they are bad - just usually go a different route). Usually, reasonable prices and bonus is FREE parking. Hard to find in hotels near downtown. There are other options, but we find this hotel pretty good on the budget and location and you can a lot of boxes from there. Getting close to retirement, the area is high on our list.

Definitely second the recommendations for Newport on the Levee and Fountain Square. I had lunch in Newport and got to see Cincy from the KY side, something I didn’t do as a kid growing up in the Cincy area.

Eric, thanks for your video. We are visiting Cincinnati now and your tips were spot on! We tried the Skyline Chili, went to Finley Market, and Graeter’s Ice Cream. Everyone and everything was great! 👍🏼

Same here to all of that
I moved away when I was in 3rd grade and have always wished we stayed .. I just loved it there and have great memories of growing up in the outskirts of Cinci
I remember being fascinated as a child whenever we’d drive by Union Terminal.. I thought it had been demolished and was happy to see a video showing it has been transformed into a museum
I no longer have family there but I would love to come back to visit the city , I was too young to have experienced the vibe of the city

If time permits check out the Carew tower observatory, most locals haven’t even done that.

Kings Island is an entire day trip with plenty of restaurants and some nearby hotels. Open from May through September I think. Also open weekends in October and December, possibly part of January.
They're open for Halloween with scare free Sunday's for children. Open for Christmas too with ice skating and entertainment.
Oh, and there's ice skating at Fountain Square with hot chocolate etc for sale.

The view of the city coming from the Greater Cincinnati Airport which, btw, is in Hebron, KY is called the cut in the hill and it's always spectacular day or night.

    Some suggestions:
    BB Riverboat
    Fountain Square during Christmas
    TAFT museum (free on Saturday's)
Carew tower for a fantastic view
    Street car to OTR restaurants
Cincinnati Art museum (free) and Eden park over look
    Izzy's for Reubens sandwiches etc
    Union Terminal w/mosaics & Children's museum
Cincinnati zoo especially for Christmas lights
    Spring Grove cemetery and arboretum
Frischs Big Boy for hamburgers and hot fudge cake
Graeter's ice cream (double chocolate chip!)
Jungle Jim's for international groceries: water buffalo mozzarella cheese, vinho verde wine, gluten free items, squid, frog legs, turtle, rabbit, elk, venison etc
Dinner train ride (I forget the name but it's near Madisonville but still Cincy)

Chicago must be fantastic then , I left the corrupt swamp called Florida and moved here in 2015..
What a great City! The 'high crime" areas are safer than the 'nice' neighborhoods in Florida.

You're touting Cincinnati, and I assume are representing a realtor of some sort.... Yeatman's Cove is pronounced YATE-Man... NOT YEET-Man! I'm guessing you're not a native? If so, how do you NOT know how to pronounce it? Oh, and a side note... while OTR and the Washington Park areas are historic and scenic, they are somewhat newly gentrified... meaning keep your head on a swivel. Last time I went there, I was accosted by panhandlers and some shady guys walking around looking sus. (i.e. don't get mugged)
