  • Welcome to Good 3nough.
    In this video I install a Wayne Sump Pump System as a step by step, do it yourself, sump pump removal and installation. The removal of the old sump pump with a backup system and the installation of the new sump pump, with a backup system, could cost over $1000 when hiring a Contractor.
    This video should help you install your new Wayne Sump Pump and Backup System. Feel free to leave any questions in the comment section below.

    Thank you for sharing, I see there are two check valve (new one at the pump and the old one above the well) in series, is this oK?

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  2 года назад

      Normally no, it is not needed or recommended since the check valve closest to the pump is the only one you need. I just left the old one there just incase I needed to do a rollback and change the sump pump to a different one that doesn't have a check valve.

    my basin is about 16.75 in wide, how wide are the pair of pumps. not sure they are going to fit. good vid bro.

      The product is listed as 18.25 inches wide. Looks like it won't fit your basin.

    How’s it been so far?? Just to clarify does it come with a new check valve?
    Does the power failure beeping sound continuously beep when power is off or does it stop ? It’s crazy loud lol

      Yes, it does come with the check valve. It continuously keeps beeping when the power is off. You'd have to disconnect the battery to stop the beeping.

    I just got one to install…. Says not to install check valve on the gray pipe. Have you had any issues with your connection ?

      Nope, haven't had any issues since the install.

    Bought this pump and installed it with a new battery. After a year the power failure red light came on, alarm sounds nonstop and the backup pump doesn't work. Any ideas?

      Sorry, I wouldn't know what the issue would be. My guess would be the sump pump isn't getting any power. If the backup pump is not working, I would recommend replacing the whole system.

    Any idea how long it will run on battery

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  2 года назад

      I'm assuming just a few hours. It'll also depend on how often it runs.

    Was the old battery pump a zoeller? What was wrong with it?

    • @good3nough947
      @good3nough947  2 года назад +1

      No idea what the brand was. The pump was not pumping water long enough. Half of what it pumps returns.

    • @erezk2170
      @erezk2170 2 года назад +1

      @@good3nough947 if water returned, probably the check valve (one way valve) was defective.
      Hope the new pump is working well!

      Looks like the check valve in the previous set up was placed too high so whatever water didnt make it past the valve will return to the pit.
