Big Fan of The Plimsouls, Peter Case solo, The Beat and recently the Nerves I was just looking up The Nerves and shocked to see Jack had passed Rest in Peace Jack, You brought many joy through your music that will last forever ! Thank you Jack, Peter and Paul
Man, the LA music scene in the late 70's into the mid 80's was so insanely diverse! The Plimsouls did, indeed, blow the roof off the place! Very kick ass! Look forward to this. I'm a fan🤘😎🤘
I LOVED The Plimsouls and Peter's writing. They were well known here in Milwaukee back in the day. I never understood why they didn't become huge. Maybe they just didn't have The Knack for it? Looking forward to seeing this film.
Two giants in my book - it's uncanny to me that you'd mention them in the same breath. Both possessed by a relentless, uncompromising muse and a pure devotion to craft - no matter the cost. I still mourn Tom's passing today - probably on a scale only measured alongside the likes of Prine and David Lindley. I was lucky enough to catch Patti a few weeks ago, and after seeing Tom in the last few incarnations of her touring band, it was moving to hear so many piercing echoes of his soaring, spiraling genius in Jackson Smith's solos all these decades later.
I bet that was amazing! I felt like timing wasn't on Tom's side. When he had Television, there were so many other acts that's were more "gimicky" T.V was a straight ahead, pure music man
Yeah I don't think Peter should have broke up the plimsouls when he did but who am I to say really for me they were the greatest band I've ever seen in my life don't really dig on the whole folk thing that he does now
Saw the plimsouls so many times. One of the greatest live bands ever
Loved your INTERVIEW with OTIS GIBBS.

Story I heard was they were in a battle of the bands and they lost to The Knack....
Seen him a dozen times at McCabes. Great times.
Peter and Tom Verlaine (Television) had similar career paths. Different music but all that potential and critical praise.

Forever, Mentor...
How do I watch this in Scotland?
NYT was right. 'Peter Case' was pretty much faultless.
Where can I buy or stream this film?
It’s in the description.

They don’t get more deserving.
