    It’s doubtful anyone ever told them they don’t want spare tires or turn signal stalks and that they want awkward hideaway door handles.
    Sometimes they just do what they want for style and cost cutting purposes.

    Thanks for your videos! Regarding the CX-90 that you discussed, I just bought the base 2024model to replace my 2020 CR-V. It was close in price to the mid-trim 2024 CR-V. I like that the CX-90 is bigger and classier looking….and the base model CX-90 in the US is close in price to the EX-L Honda. They both have similar features but the Mazda is bigger (and better in my opinion). The CR-V’s are everywhere so I like having a car that’s not as common. I also got a great deal with 1.9% financing.

I'm just curious and the question I have, once you guys reach your 100th episode will you stop saying why you started this particular segment? After so many episodes I'm just curious why Zack still explains why you started this segment, by always having to say "... we spun it off...". I would think by now that wouldn't need to be said. Maybe because I never miss an episode it sounds so familiar to me and goes without saying, but every time I hear it, I'm like this has to have a shelf life. LOL! Anyway, keep up the awesome job.

    buying at 3-4 years old and selling at 7-8 years old isn't so much getting 'equity' out of the car. it's a depreciating asset, so we're not talking equity per se, but we are talking about cars hitting about 80k miles and needing some TLC. Depending on the complexity of the car, it might make sense to sell it on, but if it's a Lexus, perhaps not.

    Double wishbone is one type of multilink. Multilink is anything ≥ 3 links. The more links, the more adjustable the suspension is, and more experience/knowledge required to tune it. A greatly tuned mcphearson (bmw, porsche) can beat a mediocre double wishbone. Therefore if you are not modding your suspension, go test drive the car, don't take paper specs as everything

    • @drock6627
      @drock6627 6 дней назад +3

      I am sorry but you could not be more wrong. Double wishbone front suspension experiences very little camber change under suspension travel compared to a MacPherson strut design. This is known as "bump steer". For this reason, all performance vehicles (and especially race cars) tend to use a double wishbone front suspension. Sure, you can tune a MacPherson strut system to handle well, but at the high end of the performance envelope, double wishbone will be far more tunable, and therefore more desirable. Strength and rigidity are the next big concerns. With MacPherson strut, you only have a lower control arm, so the strut tower bearing (yes, its a bearing because it has to pivot with the steering knuckle) carries the lateral load on the top of the steering knuckle, this greatly reduces the strength of the design let alone to rigidity, which is key to performance vehicles. With double wishbone, the strut (or even if it's a separate spring and shock absorber), the 2 control arms (and their bushings to be more precise) carry all lateral and torsional loads allowing the strut to just deal with vertical wheel control (compression and rebound).

    • @Mark-rt6fy
      @Mark-rt6fy 6 дней назад

      @@drock6627 You either didn't read my comment in full or need to get eyes checked. I said a better tuned macphearson is better than a mediocre double wishbone. I didn't say a double wishbone is better than a mcphearson. Also double wishbone increases dynamic camber during hard cornering, which is what makes it superior. Lots of performance cars use macphearson due to packaging reasons, and last gen porsche gt cars still beat so many double wishbone cars.

    Hi Zack and Andrea,
    I watch you guys every week and really enjoy the segment. I wanted to provide some polite and constructive feedback. You come off un-informed when it comes to Tesla FSD tech. If you don’t have access to a Tesla car with latest tech, because Tesla doesn’t provide you or any journalist in Canada with one, please decline to comment. Unfortunately, when you share rumours circulated on internet such as lidar stuff without actual hands on experience it reduces credibility of your comments. Just my 2cents. I am a Tesla Model 3 driver and I do have the latest FSD tech in my car. In the last 2months there was a huge improvement in performance and to not mention it makes you come off as un-informed. All the best to you guys, look forward to next show!

    Zach!! LIDAR is NOT a type of Radar. LIDAR uses laser light so it has some of the visibility limitations of cameras. Radar uses radio waves, sending out pulses of high-frequency electromagnetic waves that are reflected off the object back to the source. Radar can "see through" fog, snow or rain. LIDAR works better than cameras at night.
    The best systems use combinations of all 3 for redundancy and better sensing than human eyes.

    Fun fact: when Honda went to strut fronts from double wishbones, one of the things they cited was actually reducing cabin noise. I miss the feel of double wishbone front Hondas from the 90s, they kind of a had a more gradual roll-off as grip if you powered through a corner. But realistically, engineering overkill on a commuter car.

    Another great episode guys. Totally agree on the sunroof, Zack. We don't like it and we still have to get/live with it :D. Great touchpoint on used cars and their equity. Used car market is massive, probably bigger than new cars (more viewers too). Here is my request/suggestion why not cover 2-3-4 yr old cars that you think are great value, also cover important pros & cons for them. I shall leave it to you guys to decide since you know your business better than any of us. I am keen to find out how old a BMW X3, Volvo XC60 or Audi Q5 is a good value, 3-4 yrs old makes me uncomfortable unless I am wrong . Should you get a relatively newer model or a CPO for 3-4 year old car. Would request for a detailed viewpoint on this in one of your videos. I would want to avoid the headache of seeing any surprises in terms of repair. This is probably not where I will get the best answer. I will try to post on your Sunday posts. My Wife never really complained about my past BMW E38’s pretty and reasonably useful 6-1/2” screen, she liked how I used it. But ever since she got her 2012 VW Jetta with it’s 7” screen (the Fender one!)…. she says she’ll never go back. But I think she’s getting greedy when she ‘now’ says… she really fantasies about getting something like a 2015 Lexus RX350 with a whopping 9.8” screen. Will this madness ever stop! So question… should I get a new Lexus or a new Wife? … or a marriage counselling? Thanks for the video.

    The big difference between Tesla and everyone else is that only Telsa can used off limited access highways and on city streets. Many hands free systems are geo fenced to pre-mapped roads only (GM, Ford, Nissan), MB doesn't appear to be geo fenced.
    Perhaps Tesla will eventually added lidar but doesn't matter now - they are already training their automation modelling in much more complex conditions - this is where Tesla continues to be way ahead of the the legacy automakers, not sure about Chinese based companies. This is something that reviewers should take the time to understand since it comes up so much.

    For the person looking at Mazda CX-70 or Toyota Crown Signia, perhaps another couple of options could be Toyota Highlander (or Grand Highlander) or maybe the new Chevy Traverse. Always a good idea to check out a few options, they might be pleasantly surprised.

    I adore you guys and I have watched every single episode you have put out. But Zack, there is nothing even close to what Tesla has for Self driving. I am not sure if you have recently tried this, I own a model Y and even though it has its short comings and I agree, I dont see how camera's can achieve the ultimate self driving experience but again Tesla is way ahead. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work.

    Couldn’t agree more! Some just slam gm . I don’t get it. All makes have lemons, flips, recalls. Some rust mire then others, some have engine or tranny issues. Blah blah, get what you like! They all depreciate and it’s no where like it used to be where certain brands held on strong for resale.

      How did we ever survive before SUVs? I agree most people don't need the cargo space or they only need 1 SUV in the family but they have two. The problem is, the manufacturers are not making enough sedan models. They want to sell more SUVs because they make more money on them. It's the opposite in Europe. Sedans galore and most can be had with a manual. We're dumb in north america
