What these dudes did in mosul was heroic. They faced down an army of 10,000 suicidal Islamic guys who had two years to build and prepare defensive positions in one city made of stone buildings offering protection from anything short of an airstrike. (Which the u.s. did a ton of)
The golden division took massive losses in mosul and still pushed forward with a great determination to eliminate isis.
