I have so enjoyed this channel being a great fan of Tolstoy's works as well as the man himself. Thank you.

Until I read above comment (feralbluee)I didn’t realize what I was missing. I am very grateful for these stories - I love Russian writers. I agree that if you can, even a struggling college student working on her/his performance might read some short stories. (some would jump at the chance). No matter what, I love your offerings. Thank you so much.❤🎭❤️‍🔥

We are certainly going into a time where space in homes per person is going down.
One shouldn't even curse one's self on conditions to prevent bad deeds.
Military and government should be for both the poor and the rich.
So many can behave once their preferred drugs are abandoned.

The description provided states that Poliki stole the money; a bit confusing given that the narrative states that he lost the money entrusted to him. Moving, but sad story. 😢

His problem wasn’t loosing the money his problem started decades before when he allowed himself to become an alcoholic.
There is freedom only in Jesus Christ. To our sinful nature.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
      1 Cor 6:9-10

Why not ask why did he drink? Do you know that most politicians and other rotten "good people" are manifold worse than this man? His mistake is that he didn't pray, he relied only on himself.

Jesus WAS kind but He never ignored sin. He granted forgiveness to the woman caught in adultery but He told her to go and sin no more.

The paintings and stories you choose are beautiful and erudite. Thank you 🌷🌱
But, sorry, but I can’t listen to this voice reading more stories than I already have. Every story is read with the same timing, the same intonation, the same mispronunciation ( young was yo’-ing or some such), the same emotional misreading usually in anger. It is so horrible to any person who has normal human feelings, I don’t know how anyone could listen to more than three without getting depressed.
Get a real actor or narrator, please. Besides getting rid of the incredibly boring reading, you will give an actor a job, which these horrible robots are stealing!!!!!
Please, though, I wish you a great, sunny day.

I love the voice! It has good pitch and calm tone. It's English, not Russian. Thanks Neuralsurfer!!

Yes agree with you on all points made, I myself wince at the mispronunciations plus in one of the stories there was some technical issues:- a pouch screeching noice…the feedback was similar to a old fax machine 😮 my ears felt assaulted 😢
