When you drive one of these cars you get an overwhelming feeling of driving an American classic. It's got the characteristics of America circa 1961. It feels comforting.
I never knew one could order a Brougham and remove so many features like that. I agree you wont find another one like it anywhere. Thanks for keeping the video up.
I agree Robert. I never knew that as well. This was the first LS Brougham I have ever come across that didn't have power windows or locks. The original owners were old and they had a 81 Camaro Berlinetta that also had some wacky options as well.
The 1989 LS Brougham came standard with power windows, locks, seats. Also the uplevel gauge cluster I believe was also part of the LS Brougham. The equalizer radio was an individual option so it’s understandable if this car isn’t equipped with it.
I enjoyed it. I currenty have a 2002 pontiac grand prix and it works ok some issues here and there i get them fixed. I am interested in one of these caprices, I feel they are more reliable and perform better than the 02 grand prix. imo😄
back then you could order the options you want and ant configuration as well. If you wanted a LS Brougham with no power options you could order it. MY parents brought a new White with red Int in 1989. The only option that his didn't have was the factory moon roof.
Lots of people talking about the lack of power options. Like you said, less crap to break. Just look at the "power" antenna. Man who owned this probably got it special ordered from the factory like this. I love it! Besides I have long arms and don't need power windows. People with T-Rex arms need power windows! 😅
Lol I couldn't agree with you any more! My mom had an 87 Lebaron, and I can remember her picking us up from elementary school in June with no power windows! The power window relay blew up and we had to stop at each traffic light and open the doors so we could breathe lol yeah, I'm fine with manual windows.
@@ChrisfromGeorgia I sold that car probably about 2 years ago. I wasn't really happy with what the new owner did with it, but I guess he owns it so it's none oy my business. I sold it for 6500 I believe.
@@matthewmilton9320 That's what's up. Yeah, I personally don't like when people take classy cars and make them look low class. I reckon that's what happened. Anyways, I hope you have a good weekend! Peace
@@ChrisfromGeorgia yeah, this guy probably invested at least 10k into the car with all the mods, but it was a complete waste in my opinion. He put on 28 inch spoke rims and custom leather interior. Not my taste personally, but what can ya do. It was nice speaking with you. Have a great weekend as well.
The person who originally ordered this car didn't order any of those things... Back then those things didn't come standard on cars like they do on today's cars
Canadian-spec 1989 Brougham models had power windows and locks as standard equipment. GM Canada had different trim/option packages based on sales statistics for the time.
Not true. My parents are the original owner of an ‘89 Caprice Classic with the f41 sport suspension and it has the standard gauge cluster. The upgraded gauge cluster was an individual option.
Shame these upper trim Caprices came with the vinyl. I think they look much better without it especially from the rear. I hate the LS half vinyl version the most. Funny they did the highest trim in half.

Is amazing how you could order a car back in the 80s.

There was no factory moonroof on this body style caprice.
I had an 89 Caprice 9c1...I regret selling it.

Hot damn. I've got the same car. Mine had all the upgrades though. Only 47k.
YOURS IS SO MUCH QUIETER THAN MINE WOW
Is this car still available 1989 LS Brougham
Do you shift out of overdrive when going up a hill or down hilll
Nice section of Ozone Park.
And why it isn't all electric? I have an 88 ls with leather and all power
The person who originally ordered this car didn't order any of those things... Back then those things didn't come standard on cars like they do on today's cars
He also didn't get the optional instrument cluster
What about the exterior
Why didn't show outside
leather seats and crank windows . that's an odd ball
garth carrier I know right I was questioning the same thing

Crank windows will hurt sale value. IF it had the F41 sport suspension, this car would have a smaller CIRCULAR speedometer.

@@scott4172 ..... OK

Do You Still Have This Car
