Tim, Brian, Roger and Freddie all shared a flat in the early days. Roger purchased a stall in Kensington Market and he and Freddie worked there together. It's true that Tim left Smile to join Humpy Bong. Freddie was waiting in the wings and asked to join the band. Their first bassist was a friend of Roger's. John is the youngest of the band and was only 19 when he joined Smile. Freddie must have known these four were the ones because he changed the name to Queen and made the crest with the astrological signs. John went to classes and wrote his exams and got a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering all while rehearsing and performing with Queen. Personally I think the real story of the band is a much better story than the writers of Bohemian Rhapsody came up with. We need a TV series to really tell the full truth and Freddie's personality was much more fun and positive than we saw in the movie.
Freddie and Roger lived together for awhile and worked in a clothing stall in a market. After Smile concerts to advise them on the theatrical aspects of their performances.
let's leave out all the flattering "circumscriptions". Without John Deacon and especially without Freddie Mercury, they would have gone under as Smile in the crowd of very good musicians at the time.
Thanks for pointing the wrong things told in the movie 👌 I understand it has a story to tell to make a movie the audience will like, but it is also seen as a BioPic for the new generation 🤗 There are many important facts and periods, for me, in the history of the band that are told wrong in it and I regret it.. And especially about the real personality of Freddie ! In the movie he is showed like a selfish pretentious rockstar who apologies for making a solo album and « kill the band » 😅it never happened ! And as you said, Freddie is the exact opposite : very kind and funny, respectful and carrying about the other members of the band 🤗 Nice video 👍
