As someone who has danced competitively for years, it’s not abnormal to have 2 solos, some people perform up to 4 depending on competition rules, the age category and the level/league. But I mean it’s kinda unfair when everyone had 1 and Maddie had 2 but then again this isn’t abnormal.
However - considering that the dancers on dance moms are meant to learn they’re dances the same week and go onto performing them that week, Christis complains about it being unfair is reasonable as more time will go onto maddies solos compared to chloes solo - abby has also conspired some competition between the two so the fact that maddie has 2 solos and chloe having 1 is favouritism. If they were going up Against each other, they should both been given an equal opportunity.

The whole studio was in this competition not just the dance moms girls and all of the girls danced multiple routines that were learned before the show. I think Chloe also performed her Baby Mine solo at this competition, but the Mother solo was for the title competition.
Now shat would happen if Chloe got two solos? Christie would be on the fence about how unfair it is since now the kid couldn't focus on learning either one properly, blablabla. There were instances where Chloe was truly treated unfairly, but Christie sees EVERYTHING as unfair treatment.

Why should Christi decide whether a child does a solo or not, She's fighting with Melissa to take a opportunity just like she does with every new mom. It's not there choice what their kid gets, talk to abby instead of creating unessecery drama between the moms, She's telling people to tell Abby to take away there solo or anything they get, they are going to get a solo for Abby to see their skills and what technique they have, it's pretty obvious. If these moms really wanted to enter an environment that was based on equality, fairness, and fun why didn't they just put their kid in a NONCOMPETITIVE dance class. Competitive dance is performance-based. The dancer who wins the most is going to get the most opportunities in dance. That's how this works! The opportunities you get are directly correlated to your performance ie whether you win or not, how often you win etc. Christy sounds like a fool as usual. If Abby would have given Christie's kid two solos she would have been complaining about how much pressure Chloe was under and how unfair it was for so much to be put on Chloe's plate at once. I know they couldn't because of contracts, but I would have taken my child and never gone back. I grew up being told I was worthless, stupid and second best, my child is not going through that too.
I’m a normal studio setting, having two solos isn’t odd. Me and another third at my studio considerably do two solos, sometimes even more. Most of the other kids only do one. It’s about who can pick up choreography and be compedatve in miultiple categories. Also you have to factor in that maddie got at most an hour/two hours of extra time for her tap solo because she already knew it. Tap takes a while to learn so she learned it slowly over the course of a year and just rehearsed it with Abby for corrections.
Christi was more upset that Maddie had two solos that she already knew. It wasn’t that Maddie had two, it was that she knew them both. Whereas Chloe had a completely new routine and her choreography wasn’t very competitive. Christi asked production if Chloe could have a solo she knew, but she was turned down.
Did tap for a while and holy shit is it difficult, I struggled big time. Stuck with jazz and modern (think that’s the name) and that was good. I’ve done other dances before as well (but I do not dance anymore), could still dance though if I had a choreography put together for me and I was taught all of the steps properly.
Tap is not a judges favorite, tap is never a winning number between lyrical solos, yet Maddie won this time simple because she had a better day than Chloe. Besides is more than normal for a kid to do more than 1 solo at real competitions, there’s kids that do more than 2 solos at the same competition. If Chloe had gotten 2 solos Christi would be complaining that it’s unfair and that Abby is pressuring her. Stop whining about everything

She did a lot of mean things to Maddie though. Constantly implying she’s a brat, making fun of her by calling her Abby’s precious instead of her name, yelling in front of her face, implying that she’s a liar and a bad friend. List goes on.

the reason why there is not a lot of people in the audience is that it was 8:30 am and some routines were performed at later times. so later than 8:30 am there was a big crowd of people.

If these moms really wanted to enter an environment that was based on equality, fairness, and fun why didn't they just put their kid in a NONCOMPETITIVE dance class. Competitive dance is performance-based. The dancer who wins the most is going to get the most opportunities in dance. That's how this works! The opportunities you get are directly correlated to your performance ie whether you win or not, how often you win etc.
Christy sounds like a fool as usual. If Abby would have given Christie's kid two solos she would have been complaining about how much pressure Chloe was under and how unfair it was for so much to be put on Chloe's plate at once. She literally would have called it sabotage. 🤦🏾♀️

I’m a normal studio setting, having two solos isn’t odd. Me and another third at my studio considerably do two solos, sometimes even more. Most of the other kids only do one. It’s about who can pick up choreography and be compedatve in miultiple categories.
Also you have to factor in that maddie got at most an hour/two hours of extra time for her tap solo because she already knew it. Tap takes a while to learn so she learned it slowly over the course of a year and just rehearsed it with Abby for corrections.

Christi was more upset that Maddie had two solos that she already knew. It wasn’t that Maddie had two, it was that she knew them both. Whereas Chloe had a completely new routine and her choreography wasn’t very competitive. Christi asked production if Chloe could have a solo she knew, but she was turned down.

Did tap for a while and holy shit is it difficult, I struggled big time.
Stuck with jazz and modern (think that’s the name) and that was good.
I’ve done other dances before as well (but I do not dance anymore), could still dance though if I had a choreography put together for me and I was taught all of the steps properly.

Tap is not a judges favorite, tap is never a winning number between lyrical solos, yet Maddie won this time simple because she had a better day than Chloe. Besides is more than normal for a kid to do more than 1 solo at real competitions, there’s kids that do more than 2 solos at the same competition. If Chloe had gotten 2 solos Christi would be complaining that it’s unfair and that Abby is pressuring her. Stop whining about everything
