  • Today we are (back) in Farnborough in Hampshire, England.
This film shows the beautiful station with some trains during a moody autumn day. Farnborough is a town along the South West Main Line, which runs out of London Waterloo. The station opened with an island platform in 1838 when the line still had only two tracks. Once the line was upgraded to today’s quadruple track configuration, the island platform was removed, and two side platforms were built instead.
During weekdays the station is served by four trains per hour in each direction; two of them are fast services, while the other two are stopping services. London-bound fast services call only at either Woking or Clapham Junction before terminating at London Waterloo, taking about half an hour.
    Enjoy!
    Filmed on November 23, 2016.
