Thanx Mike. You are my go to channel for Star Wars news. heheh Glad ya liked the video and thanx for commenting. I saw ur latest on the Scout Trooper. I got to get me one of those. Looks awesome.
@@lucasalejaga1175 heheh. it’s probably the last time those moods were used. Technically this is the second time they have redone the Retro Collection line for GI Joe. They did a lot of this for the 25th anniversary ones.
@@lucasalejaga1175 No idea. However, that would be ok by me. I missed a lot during the 25th anniversary series. So I’d get them now if they did everything again. heheh
I had the Action Force Red Shadows Hyena tank which was basically a repaint of the Hiss Tank for the U.K. Market. Wish hasbro had done that version too although i guess there would not be enough demand for that version!
I’d love to have a red HISS. Here in the states we got that red one as a Sears exclusive. Today, I’d love to have either. Plus I think they did a Python one also. Yellow and Black stripes. I only have these that ya see in the video, but it would be neat to have all the different versions of the HISS Tank that ever came out. Thanx for watching and commenting.
I tried it again cause I’ve heard a lot of ppl don’t have an issue fitting him in. Mine has to bend the knees or his head hits the glass canopy and it’s rubbing against the top. maybe I got a defective figure.
I received my retro H.I.S.S. today and I'm about to open it. I found the A.W.E. Striker at my local Walmart yesterday. I have that GI Joe fever all over again. It feels like the 80's.
Tallman 80 My AWE Striker is in the mail. I had ordered one. It was supposed to come at the same time as this HISS tank, but they double shipped the HISS instead of one of each. I emailed them and we worked it out and they were still able to send me an AWE Striker. So whew. heheh
Tallman 80 I want to open it and put it with the rest, but right now I’m gna just keep it in the box until I have a bit more space for all these opened ones. heheh
I am all in for this line John, love the retro G.I Joe (even if the figures arent based on the vintage) I have everything pre ordered but not sure I will open!
Bossk's Bounty If it’s in a box, I’ll open it. The box isn’t damaged. Just one piece of tape is cut is all. (well, I did out the stickers, which I don’t normally do with vehicles I unbox) I won’t open any more bubble carded figures now unless I manage to find two. heheh -so I’m starting to get that way with my figures. Good to see ya, Tim. Have a great day and thanx for arching and commenting. Love GI Joe. My third favorite line of all time. (behind Star Wars and Transformers)
I don’t think the figures are meant to fit.I think they are meant to be displayed with the figures. Its not like adults play with toys ( even though I swoosh them around every now and then).
Surprised that Hasbro didn't mark this box anywhere with wording that indicates this is a reissue. Instead, it's as if Hasbro decided to simply resume producing the HISS and selling it. (Maybe that's the thinking?)
Howard Wen Heheh. I didn’t think of that -but you are right. It doesn’t say Retro or new for 2020 or anything. It’s just like they just picked up where they left off. Good catch there.
They have made several changes to this version the canopy has a slit in it the guns are smaller their are 3 handles on the turret ring and the seat back is textured
Great video, just wondering if the free figure would look in place next to modern figures from 2009 onwards or if the free figure is more close to vintage figures, thanks.
about 18 mins in I do show him standing next to the original vintage and the 2009 25th anniversary one. I think he fits more with the 2009 rather than the original vintage.
These new Retro GI Joe figures made me a fan, been loving Revenge of Cobra show from the 80's especially since it's free on youtube, I already picked up Baroness, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes, thinking about getting this Hiss Tank also
Yeah I wish I had gotten a red one. Here in the states that red one cane as a Sears exclusive. I never got that version as a kid. I wish I did now. heheh. Thanx for watching.
Great review as usual. Only had the Red Shadows Hyena version, so I'm very tempted to pick up a proper HISS. Sorry The Child seems a bit disappointing. I had it on pre-order from Amazon, but cancelled the other day when I saw some in-hand pictures. Wasn't sure I'd made the right decision, but sounds like I dodged a bullet. Minor consolation, but at least your reviews help other collectors decide. Hope your week picks up.
Thanx. Yeah -I’ll get the Child video up this week sometime now that I’ve calmed down a bit. It’s like that HyperReal Luke. Things are not always what they seem when you just see the adverts. eh well. I never got any of the red versions of HISS Tanks. I wish that I did. I’d love to have any version of the red ones now. I think they even did some python patrol ones that had yellow and black stripes. That would be neat to have an example of also. heh Well thanx for watching and commenting. Talk to ya later.
you know you should thank your mother for painting your figures, mine let the waitress stole all my collection, at least a hundred joes, CORPS, i have such a bad luck my two abrams tanks joes scale CORPS made were stolen too, couple years ago, going now for a Hiss my love for the hobbie remains intact
Yeah, I had always thought it wierd to, never having a Hiss growing up. So I never got to "pretend ". On my 25th one, I custom fit a winch between the front tracks, so no pretending for me
This is a cracking figure and vehicle range, i am so tempted to start collecting, but i'm sure i would wake up in the morning missing a body part, the Mrs just about tolerates my Star Wars addiction😂🤣👍
I think these are awesome -but yeah. When ya set the nostalgia aside, these could do with a modern remodel. Imagine if they did this with treads that moved and in the detail of today’s design teams.
Great review lord John... I just picked up the 25th ann version and will be picking up another retro one. Classic toy. Period.
Thank you, master.
Here’s to seeing the Killer Whale or full sized Skystriker
Oh those would be awesome!
It be nice if they made a killer whale
John you are my go to channel for GI Joes. Some of the figures and vehicles I have never seen. Very cool review on the Hiss Tank

Love the HISS tank and the retro box wow. Awesome. Thanks for sharing buddy
yeah. I really like my HISS tanks. heheh

I miss these toys. Just picked up a 25th Firebat though and plan to get a H.I.S.S tank and some figures and maybe a Vamp with my next paycheck.
I have that 25th VAMP. It’s a great Jeep and figure also.
He fits just fine if you’ve bend the legs properly you have to really bend and angle them👍
thanx. yeah a few ppl commented telling me how to get him in there. got it now. It’s all good.
Thanx for watching and for commenting.
I've gotta say, I didn't have any problems building mine or getting the guy in the canopy.
heheh. well maybe I’m just challenged. 🤔😂
my figure fits just fine, so i don't know if something changed by november.

i suggest use pin vise tactic when glueing the guns
