It is a great little simple amp. No modeling and it is doing what the bigger tweeds do in its sound reproduction. It is as you say vintage. The gain is over stated and I use just enough to breakup and adjust my guitar volume and tone to shape the sound to what I want. I have others but I really love this little guy. Had mine since 2012. I think many other reviewers have just chucked it because cranking the gain and expecting it to sound like a Marshal or Orange but that is not the sound it is designed for. If you have ever played any tweed Fender before 1958 design you will know what I mean. Good video.

Such a great vid showing the little mini amp. I can’t believe how fun these are. What mics are you using for your pick up at the amp’s speakers?

Those were a Neumann TLM 102 and an AKG C414

Mine should be arriving, I'm looking forward. Recently ordered the Orange mini amp, which sounds surprisingly good, provided I mic the speaker closely. The proximity effect rids much of the "toyish" sound. Close-micing is key with these. And I go for trashier sounds anyway, generally, so I likely will actually use this in the 1 and 1/2-chord garage/punk rock I (try to) do.

Definitely has that fuzzed our StOner/ Sludge/ Doom tone..at least to my ears!
      ..in this cell speaker anyway.

      How's the Orange compare?
