  • "How can you feel in fear of your life when the person is running away from you?" Attorney Ben Crump discusses why the quick arrest of the officers in the Tyre Nichols case should be the blueprint moving forward, why people need to stop justifying unnecessary killings by the police, and whether or not there is incentive to reform policing. #DailyShow #Comedy

The fact that the mother of the Memphis victim took a moment to say “I feel sorry for what they’ve done to their families and what their families are now going to go through” - as she’s talking about her son crying out for her in his moments of death as they beat him, is an incredible testimony to this woman’s empathy.

I'm a white mother and broke down when Tyre cried out for his mother as he was being senselessly beaten. All I saw was somebody's baby boy being hurt, and I felt the pain as if he were my own son. Even writing this and thinking about it I am crying again. No mother should have to experience this. And knowing that my white son probably won't have to go through this doesn't make me feel better; it makes me even sadder because of the injustice of it all.

@Queen NitaBo LOL... You act as if the Indians were dancin' thru fields of flowers tossing petals at each other. This American land ran red with Indian blood long before the White Man got here and made this a paradise. Tribal warfare then probably rivaled the Black neighborhood wars now. Wanna tell me there ain't a Black Kid over 2 years old that hasn't seen a body in the street? I've seen them standing on the curb too many times with a confused look on their face. By the time they are 4, this is normal to them.

I think more movies/ series ( we loved to be entertained while learning and educating ourselves lol ) whites allow themselves and are willing to watch with an open mind and heart, the more we as a people will see that it really is true. I have learned so much these last few years and so grateful for it. I really think it's all about education ( that is why what the Governor in FL is doing is totally wrong ) . The more one educates other races, cultures, ethnicities, we all realize we are all the same, we are equal. We are HUMAN - we need to treat all humans with kindness, respect, dignity, empathy and with know we are not below or above anyone else.
