    I played this game with a friend yesterday, and she's the same type of gamer as Nikki. She doesn't like to play "mean" which can often make for a very unchallenging game. I try to tell her that it isn't playing "mean", it's playing to win, but that's just not her style, I guess. It's kind of frustrating. She also brought up the similar aspects between Aqualin and Qwirkle. You could save yourself 20 bucks and just play Aqualin with your Qwirkle set if you already have one.

    You two are so silly and cute.
    Sometimes I watch y'all's videos not for the game, but because I love y'all's chemistry.
    I know that you're married. But not all couples get along like you two do.
    Great video!
    Keep it up!

    I love you, Nikki, but OMG, darling, you need to be a bit more aggressive! there were a bunch of moves you could have done to separate Link's stuff... It was driving me nuts and I was on the brink of yelling at the computer monitor lol I still love you though

      SAME! I was getting fidget just by seeing all those moves she missed!

      Hahaha same, I watch the game and banging my head on how Nikki cld have disrupt Link combo. Wld have been more fun to watch if the two players are equally strategic and play a few times.

    Buy 3 copies of Aqualin and you have a beautiful Sea Creature Related Qwirkle ! Right ?

      @@boardgamegeek I just ordered Aqualin, but in the meantime, I made a cardboard board today to play with my Qwirkle and brought the game at the afterschool centre where I work. The kids loved the game!
      It's a pleasure to watch your videos. I usually watch the big team videos but I find the "Date Night" very intimate and the ambiance is lovely. Also it gives us a chance to discover more 2 player games. Thanks.

      @@boardgamegeek Hi Lincoln! If you ever play Aqualin with Qwirkle, here's a scoresheet I made boardgamegeek.com/filepage/208570/aqualin-scoresheet-qwirkle-edition I also modified DasDex's scoresheet (with his approval) to make scoring easier. Enjoy!

    I feel like this game favors the player with the colors just because it's significantly easier to see groups of colors and all that rather than groups of the creatures

    • @CandyOnAChopstick
      @CandyOnAChopstick 4 года назад +2

      Xandawesome It’s true that the colors are easier to see groups of, but I wouldn’t say the creature player is at a disadvantage because they also need to mess with the other player’s stuff which is easier to see groups of that you should break.

    • @yugiwinninglex
      @yugiwinninglex 3 года назад

      It's easier to see the colors also means it easier to break the colors combo compare to the creatures.

    Nicky have to be more evil and start moving tiles by turn two, cause she lets him score easy points that way. If you are not moving your enemy makes double amount of turns than you, its simple :)

    This looks like a lot of fun. (A warring quirkle type game 🤔😁). I wonder though is it easier to see the colour groupings vs type groupings?
    Really enjoy the game night series, and gamenight date night is wunderbar. It is great to see the fun in it. 🖖🏻

    Nikki, I love you, so please don't take this the wrong way, but I feel almost like you are playing a different (cooperative) game with some of these choices... You are being too nice for a 2 player competitive game.
