All the Jurassic Park quotes were great. I love watching people enjoying themselves. Makes the game so much more fun. The fact that this is quick, easy, and has a small table presence means I can take on my lunch and play with my gal pal while we chat! Thank you for demonstrating the game! It would have been so great if this game had come with little cups to put the dinos in so you could easily hide and pass them. Edit: Bought dice cups so each player could have one to hide their Dinos in, and passing them is a lot easier.
Draftosaurus is a fun little game! The rules actually call for a simultaneous reveal and THEN placement. In my experience, this is more fun and functional, helping players track which dinosaurs are being placed and where. Thank you for the video!
I love that designers, in general, are really embracing the dinosaur theme. This scoring mechanic reminds me of a slightly obscure card game called Herbaceous. You plant herbs in your garden and the points are based on which container you plant ( pairs, all different, all the same, etc.) It is a really fun little game with remarkably pleasant art work.
Love this game, my 8 year old and I play it a the time. One of our favorite fillers! We play two different layer often and there are some fun extra strategic choices when throwing away a Dino.
Played this twice with Nic and Sarah and really liked. Played with both expansions and fun too. What do you think of both expansions? Trying to decide if this is a buy for me and if expansions add that much more.
Correction: The T-Rex in the river scores just 1 point, and does not get the bonus T-Rex point, because the River is NOT a Pen. Also, if you have a T-Rex pair over the Bridge of Love on the winter side, you get a T-Rex point for each side.
@@mbillard The way Dave explained earlier, with the couples pen 5:38, was that each couple of T-Rexes would get an extra point, because each pair scored individually. So in the pyramid, they each have an individual score, which made me think they'd each score an extra point.
I think he was mistaken. The rulebook says "Pens with more than one T-Rex only bring in 1 point per pen." So it's not each scoring, it's 1 per pen, total.
@@TriplePalindromous Yup. I explained the rule correctly - max +1 per pen - and then I goofed it with the Prairie of Love. I blame the mustache. (FWIW, I did get it right on the Winter side when we scored Nikki's pyramid pen)
At 10:28 Lincoln played to the wrong side of the board. I imagine trying to concentrate so hard on what you need for your own board it is hard to police the others.
Total scores were: Dave 71, Nikki 69, Kevin 61 and Lincoln 59. That’s a 22-point spread between first and last place with both sides together. Pretty neat game. I’d love to play this one sometime. Nevertheless, Tiny Towns still scratches this itch for me, so to speak.
watching them struggle to pull the dinos out of the tiny bag without leaking their hand... doesn't feel like a smooth game to play... deal breaker for me

I love the “a baby dinosaur!” quote.
This game is very similar to Sushi Go! Instead of passing cards, you pass dinosaurs. The grouping mechanism and scoring are very similar too.
That’s an impressive moustache Dave! Thanks for the play through. Good fun!
I agree. Suits you very well, Dave

Yep it was the 1rst game to come to my mind o
I love Herbaceous. It fun, and it's beautiful.
The mustache is back - it suits you Dave.
Not a game I care much about, but it was still nice/fun to see this group play it.
I like Nikki's shirt😁 you have to play Disney's Villainous
Just got this, fun little game, my nearly 7 year old really likes it.

You had me at draft, game brought.
Ok guys, I shouldn't have watched this video... Having still enough days (and savings) until Christmas, I purchased this as well... 😂🥰
This game needs cups in which to hide and pass on the dinomeeples.
I agree. I’m planning on buying small cups from the dollar store
I like your reviews
Kevin constantly quoting Jurassic Park is exactly what I would be during this game.

I love seeing if we will get mustached Dave or not.
that should be the name of a game...Mustached Dave
Another great vid, and Kevin, you were hilarious.
Just out of curiosity, what is the "baby dinosaur" reference Lincoln and Kevin kept saying?
I think it’s from the animated sequence in Jurassic Park ruclips.net/video/h58lRIVHhGc/видео.html
GameNight! Wooooooooo love it
Edit: when will you play Brass: Birmingham?
Hahaha Nikki is hilarious in this episode!
Picked this one up this con season! Great video, Now I don't have to read the rules :-)
Be aware that the T-Rex rule as explained in the video is not correct.
28:53
Should each T-Rex give an extra point here, since they each score individually?
T-rexes give one extra point per pen regardless of how many t-rexes are in that pen so 1 point is correct.

Yours notifications guys, are the only one I care about... :3
Three empty pens, you need a pencil.
This game looks mean. I like it.

Now that's what was missing in that face: the moustache! Looks great, do keep it!
It might have benefited from player screens instead of holding them secretly in your hands.
I immediately thought they should have used the bgg bitbowls to hold and pass the dinos with
You guys should play Dinosaur Island, with all of your Jurassic Park refrences.
I like the game! But i would need to buy 4 boxes to hand around. All i could think of was sweaty hands.
Ahhh Jurassic Park quote overload!!!
Pull and Place...the new Roll and Write. Same weight, practically the same style game, just a different take on it. (y)
Those player boards seem like they could be bigger. Maybe there will be a XXL version in the future.
They work fine at their current size.
Oh no... Deborah is gone and the mustache is back! :-(
I'll give this episode a try anyway.
Realy nice game
Some jokes were unnecessaurous... =X =D
Ooooh, Isaac's back!
Return of the Living Mustache

71 - 59 = 12 point spread
Nelsn3 oops!! My early morning brain failed!
Baby dinosaurus!
Would this be the least covid safe game? Ha
You should do an episode with Obscurio 😊
Stay tuned. -Lincoln
Mario!
Nikki's hair on fleek as usual.
Nice game! Only two things bother me: the small bag and the small board. Seems to me they've choose to go cheap and that's a shame
Yes, the bag is way too small.
yes especially the bag
watching them struggle to pull the dinos out of the tiny bag without leaking their hand... doesn't feel like a smooth game to play... deal breaker for me
Just used cheap cups
