I like that you make two videos on the products you use. Sometimes I want a quick over view and sometimes I'm looking for detailed instructions. It's good to have the option to have either...or both!
That's a great system. I'm so glad that you removed those shackles from the tie-down points. Those are only meant for securing the vehicle during towing and not extraction.
Great video. I just watched it so I’m about a year late LOL. But thanks to your video I just tapped the brakes on ordering a CaliRaised or GreenLane bumper. I had it basically narrowed down to those two but now I absolutely love the idea of a “skeleton” and a “shell” since I’m pretty undecided about which winch I want. So this product fits the bill perfectly so thank you for introducing it to us! I just subscribed to your channel so I’ll search through for any updates as well as which winch you went with.
Thanks for the comment! I did a video where I mounted a Warn winch to this bumper. Link is below: ruclips.net/video/iMk0vd5oi44/видео.htmlsi=TgVOro7cNJsas5Yt
What year is your 4Runner? I have a 2020 sr5 and I want to cut the middle of the bumper without removing it from the car. Just not sure if I have fog light wiring running through that area.
Just got a 23 4runner and this is my first 4 runner ever, so excited. Found your channel and instantly became a fan. Feels like a perfect "4 runner Dad"! LOL. Would you recommend this installation to a first-time mod customer (like myself)? Do you think the weight affected the MPG at all? Thanks in advance!!
Thank you! This is a great vehicle, I'm sure you'll love it. I would say that if you have experience, and are handy with tools, this is doable. If not, you may want to get help. I have a lot of auto mechanic and auto body experience, so this was not really a difficult install. I chose this bumper because it was a bit lighter than most of the aftermarket bumpers out now, so I didn't really notice a drop in gas mileage. When I add the wich soon, that may certainly affect mph.
Thanks! I haven't yet. If I remember correctly I think this bumper is 65 lbs because it has the aluminum cover and bull bar. I think the OEM bumper support I removed was in the 20 lb range. So, not a huge amount of weight added. When the winch goes in I will certainly look deeper into upgrading the suspension. Also, I weigh like 145 lbs 😂
@@AZOverland2017 my buddies friend took off his C4 low pro coz it causes more nose dive when turning or braking but he said he’ll put it back until he upgrade’s his suspension he said his C4 weighs like 80-85lbs material is steel..
Complicated for some, easy for others. I've worked on and modified cars for a lot of years. To me, this was a very straightforward and relatively simple install. Winch is ordered and coming soon. Stay tuned for the install. Good luck with the new 4Runner!
This mod looks great. For the guy saying he wouldn’t mess with cutting his 4Runner, how would you get a winch installed without cutting? Or running 285s should have to do a BMC. For you it’s complicated, for others like him that have done this sort of stuff, it’s normal, necessary, and not too complicated to complete. Love the video and want to run the same. I’ll be getting a 2” front and 1” rear and enough to hold the weight of the bumper and winch.

I appreciate the feedback. It's a lot of work but I figured that is what I would want when looking through videos...an Option!

Thanks! They were just in their "holding place" until I got the bumper in. Needed a little bling😀

Looks good. Do you think it may affect 4Runners with the front sensor?
I would double check with Hefty Family, but I don't think it does with the low bar. I think the high bar they offer does.

Thanks for showing us your knowledge very appreciated 👍🏼
Thanks for watching!
Molle panel for the third row!
Do you know the item number for the optional bulbar?
On the link I sent, under the "Hoop" option (bull bar), I got the Low Hoop

Too complicated. I have 2023 4Runner Trdoffroad. I wouldn’t mess with the cutting my 4Runner.
