Hands down the best viper cut I've seen yet. The straight line cuts that many folks do give that "turtle beak" look from the side profile, which I can't stand. Only thing keeping me from doing this now is deciding whether I'm just going to do a full front bumper instead of a low-pro.
Did this cut to mine this weekend. Looks great! And that black trim is the stuff to use. I put the barbed side to the back. You want to make sure to push it all the way on. It resists but gives a kind of satisfying slide when it finally goes all the way on. Really feels like it’s not going anywhere. Thank you for the walkthrough.
This is a really tastefully done viper cut, ive never seen anyone do it this way where it doesnt look like someone just cut it at home. ill definitely do this when I get my 4runner
That's pro looking stuff right there. I have a similar C4 low-pro bumper on my 4Runner. Will definitely do this if my 285s rub. Thanks for the killer video!
Great mod! A bit pricey but the Rago Aqua Tank is a washer fluid reservoir replacement that mounts behind the grille of a 5th gen 4Runner. It's built like a "tank" from aluminum. Takes about 10 minutes to install. It was designed to solve the problem of the plastic factory washer fluid tank being exposed in these types of mods.
Awesome cut. Without high clearance metal sides like C4 does the fender vibrate at all at high speeds? Just want to make sure the fender is still supported at speed before I cut mine. Thx
My tip is to just tape off a section on the very bottom of the bumper that's gonna be cut off anyway and do some practice runs. Do not go right into your main cut. It almost wants to jump a little.
Hmm. I like the look of the curve, but Victory 4X4 makes a bumper and wing protector combo that I want and they have dimensions I’d have to follow to fit the wings
@@T4Rgarageattempted mine today using your video but couldn't get the measurements on both sides to match up. Having black paint makes the body line a little harder to see. Gave up and need to retry tomorrow. That curve you put in is hard to replicate from just the video. Printable template would be nice.
I installed the same body armor bumper as you and now I’m planning on doing the viper cut. On the driver side there are two bolts in which the plastic bumper is attached to on the bottom. It’s attached to the bracket that body armor provided. Looks like one of the two bolts will remain to keep the bumper attached. My question is, once the cut is done, did you have to cut the bracket a bit since the 2nd bolt on it will no longer be needed because it’s bolted to a part of the bumper that’s been cut?
Body armor hiline bumper with a dual row 20” light bar. The bumper is on sale right now $100 off. The light bar is a rough country. Had the setup over a year and both the bumper and light bar have been fantastic
That looks great! I don't have the tools, nor do I trust myself to do this haha. I REALLY love this look and want it on my 4runner. Hope the car shops near me can do this. If not I'm gonna have to drive up to BC and pay you to do it LMAO.
Nice video buddy,Are you open to doing a product review that related to Auto led lighting?we would like to reach out to you for doing that , but I didn’t find available info to contact you
Hey i stopped and chatted with you today infront of ur work. Asking about your wheel and tire combo! How random that i found your video on here same day. Anyway just wondering ware you got that black trim u put on after u cut it. What lift did you use?
Crazy!! What are the odds haha I left an Amazon link in the description to where I purchased the trim. I did the old man emu 3” lift, Cap-it has it with free shipping

That curved beginning seriously makes all the difference. Looks much better than most I've seen. Awesome job

Fantastic! Would love to see full side profile, as it's the one thing that's keeping me from doing this mod.
This is the best viper cut I've seen. Thanks for posting it, and also thanks for linking all the equipment and tools you need.
This is a really tastefully done viper cut, ive never seen anyone do it this way where it doesnt look like someone just cut it at home. ill definitely do this when I get my 4runner
Great content man. Loved the work and how you explain little things like making tiny cuts vertically instead of just following the tapped line.
Just got my 24 4Runner OF. This is exactly what I want to do. Thank you!
That's pro looking stuff right there. I have a similar C4 low-pro bumper on my 4Runner. Will definitely do this if my 285s rub. Thanks for the killer video!
just did this on my ‘21. copied yours and it looks awesome. no more rub! thanks!
This is the best viper cut out there!! 💪🏽
Beautiful look. On my way to do mine this weekend, on 2008 Pathfinder. Thanks.

Those Rago Fab tanks are a really option too. Thanks man!
I do like that viper cut, nice job.

Doing this after all the parts come in for the lift! Will post my videos to see if I come slode to what you have done. GREAT job!
This is by far the best viper cut I’ve seen. Curios what speed do you have the dremmel set to when you were cutting.
Thank you! I think it was set to max or slightly below max

Thanks for the tutorial!!! Did mine today 🙌🏻
Hope it turned out good 👍🏼 Cheers!
Fantastic! Would love to see full side profile !
Yeah you're right. That looks better than most. Hello from BC!
Simple, yet great mod. Thanks for the video
I am so tempted to do this, perfect cut
Good to meet you buddy! I look forward to hearing you use that mic!!! 😉
Good to meet you as well! Thanks for the killer mic brother 🤙🏼
Nice cut. Definitely better with some curvature in the cutline. Well done!
After doing this does it expose the bumper and have a possibility of creating rust ?
that looks dope. great content. 🔥
Other issue with viper cut is a small hit on mpg, especially if you drive a lot at hwy speeds.
Damn !!! That really looks good Great job
Hmm. I like the look of the curve, but Victory 4X4 makes a bumper and wing protector combo that I want and they have dimensions I’d have to follow to fit the wings
You should make a template that's a nice cut
I like that idea!

Want to see more of the passenger side where the water bottle is
Perfect! Looks so good!
It looks sick, I wonder how it would look with the stock bumper and no C4 attachment.
Thank you! I think it would look pretty good. Looks the best with a lift and slightly wider wheels

@@T4Rgarage ok thank you.
Great lines - got me thinking abt it
I thought about it for a very long time...
Hey man! Looking to do this cut on my 4Runner due to rubbing after upgrading my tires. Wanted to know what your tires are? Mine are 305/70/17
I have 285/70/17s with 0 offset wheels
Thanks man! Hopefully this cut will help with rubbing.
Does your 4Runner have suspension?
Great job on the video! Thanks for making it.
Great content here, love the curve on the Viper cut. Im looking to do the same, any chance you would take on a project? Thanks Jaime
Great video.
What bumper and bumper lights do you have?

Did your bumper get all flappy at high speeds? Do any reinforcements?
@@Popcornbeetle no issues at all
@ thanks for another great video!
What trim did you use for the bumper after the cut to protect the bumper?

Looks great man!🤘🏼
Nice job-thanks for sharing.
What did you do with the bracket on the driver side? Did you cut it off?
Yes you will have to. Hit it with some primer and black paint once you chop it. Mine was already off since I have an aftermarket bumper
doesn't the viper cut leave the stuff underneath expose like the washer fluid?
Gee I wonder where I heard that recently? Oh yeah…..he talked about that in the video. 🤣😂. Did you even watch it?

Hey man, you think you’ll ever change your hood to the TRD one with the hood scoop?
I do like the look but I doubt it
Looks sweet.
Goddamn that looks good as fuck and you made it look very easy
Very nice cut like it a lot
It drives me crazy that I don’t have the cajones to do this to my forerunner!
It’s just a little extra skin your cutting off. It’ll turn your “forerunner” into a 4runner 🤙🏼
looks great! are you northern midwest or canada?
From PNW Canada
@@T4Rgarage ah, that’s it. less harsh Minnesota usually means Canada. just got a 4runner and binging your vids. great content!

What size wheel/tire are you running?
17 inch wheels 285/70 r17

Nice work, but "sexiest, curvaceous "? Too cringe.
Women are sexy & curvaceous, not a plastic cut on a vehicle. 😅 sheesh!
😂
Why not get an ARB bumper? There is no shortcut to greatness...
