Does it have to be 100% cotton?
No, you can use any yarn that you like 😉
Thanks for asking that. I have so much yarn and want to get started right away.
I think cotton is best if using for protection as germ and stuff stick to some of the other acrylics or fibers.... or so I've heard.

Mine was sadly way to big and fell of my face. Got to try again
Try to chain less
@kim i undone one and i will try to crochet smaller. Not giving up yet 🙈
We need to wear them all the time when we are out they are saying now.
Thank you so much for the video! Is this pattern written anywhere? I have severe ADD and cannot crochet along to a video.
It is written in a response to pinned comment
What is on inside
I’m gonna try to make this today. Where can I buy the filter?
Can you write down the pattern please
Thank you very much for posting and sharing your knowledge especially for me, a new crocheter. I'm sure you answered this question , I know you said 100% cotton, but is there a size difference say 4 ply etc. Am I even asking this correctly? Sorry.. and I don't have a 3mm crochet hook, however I do have 3.5 is that ok?
3.5 is ok but the stitches will be slightly looser if you use the same size yarn as she.
L Bo Thank you for the reply. I did find that size hook. Another question if you can answer. Is there different ply for the cotton yarn? If so which cotton yarn is she using? I know 100% cotton but what ply yarn? Does that make sense..? Sorry too many questions :) but I really appreciate your help!!! Hugs
Thank you for watching! Yes, you can use hook 3.5 as was answered before. On my label it says just #4. But the best thing you must try to crochet with a yarn and see if it matches your hook size. For this pattern you can actually use any yarn and hook size. The main thing your hook must match your yarn thickness. And if you use bigger size hooks you should chain less. I am sorry if I didn't get your question right

Mask do help and so do you glasses because it goes through your eyes 👀 to. If you watch Asian boss on RUclips if tells you everything about the virus. I didn’t think they worked either till I watched this doctor on RUclips. I will make some now for my family
Thank you for sharing. I'm sure its been said but these *HAVE to be fitted perfectly for your face* or they *WILL NOT WORK* . Also they will not filter anything without the n95 material but I'm sure better than nothing.
She demonstrates how to crochet a FACE MASK ''YOU CAN INSERT ANY FILTER YOU CAN FIND''. For whatever use like for allergies or something. everything is not about COVID-19.
For covid-19 these actually are worse than nothing. They serve as a breeding ground. Please feel free to make them at any other time. NOT RIGHT NOW
@@brandeemackenzie4241 if this is a breeding ground then all masks are. These will absolutely be better than nothing but do need another layer of fabric AND filter. Would you prefer to be coughed on by someone with this mask on or with absolutely nothing? I'm not saying these need to be made in mass and given to health care workers I'm saying it is better than nothing if you have absolutely nothing.
@@brandeemackenzie4241 also, all that said.. I am an avid crocheter.. but I will not be making any masks via crochet. I've been sewing them with pockets for filters as my cities hospital has asked the public to do so and drop them at the hospital
@@dianetaylor3244 everything TODAY *IS* about covid19
why am i actually doing good!?
Oh brother.
No mask anymore ‼️never again
agree
Trima kasih tutorialnya sangat mudah diikuti...di tunggu video selanjutnya🙏❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this. My husband went to the grocery store today wearing a bandanna over his face because there are no real masks available to us. Now I can make him something to wear on his face that at least doesn't make him look like a bank robber. Any mechanical barrier over the nose and mouth is better than nothing. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video to help those of us who can not get "official" face protection. God bless you.
A bandana would be more effective than a crochet mask, pleas do noy use a crochet mask, they are holey and porous, they will not work as a barrier for germs, filter or not. They will actually hold im germs, them you'd ne breathing in those germs till you take it off.
