I saw this movie randomly years back not knowing anything about it. Loved it!
You forgot to mention that the child Miroslava and Arman had was a girl - before that, when dragons burned maidens to have an offspring the resulting children were always boys. Beautiful film, amazing visuals, seen it in the original Russian (which I unerstand ;) )
Yeah, I know. Some how over the years the other dragons only know one way to conceive a child and both Miroslava and Arman conceive in the normal way. But there is no way of know if their daughter would turn into a dragon too.
Watched this movie many many years ago in Russian. Never thought it would ever be watched by foreign audience. While watching Millie Bobby Brown's "Damsel" couldn't help but think about how it's similar to this movie. Miroslava's song calling for dragon is so beautiful. Igor was a coward d i c k.

@@queenberuthiel5469 it really is. The era, the rituals, the dragon, the feisty strong female lead, the plot twist, sudden relationship between the dragon and the female lead. It's very similar.
