The writing of Conor's lines are cringe. I wouldn't necessarily blame him for bad acting. His final line "There's something wrong with you. Me too." was pretty good delivery.

This is one where the diverse and inclusive reboot could have worked. After the passing of his father, Khabib "the Eagle" Nurmagomedov takes a job at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys.
Naturally he would ban the sale of alcohol and begin playing the Islamic call to prayer on the PA. He'd probably straighten the place right out.

Dalton walks away not because he's scared, it's because the 'thing that's wrong with him'- as Knox says, is that he ends up killing people if pushed too far and he doesn't want that anymore. If you watch the film though, Dalton does end up getting pushed over that edge eventually. This film was okay, but you can't quite beat the original.
This Dalton waits too long to stop any nonsense, and then gets his ass beat unmercifully, nah, I'll stick to the original !!

This movie was so fun, if you’re reading this and haven’t watched it yet. Don’t listen to the negative comments and watch it and form your own opinion of it. It’s a fun watch, give it a shot if you want to have a good time, especially with friends.
Cinematography, acting from Gyllenhaal and camera work are good. I'd watch it again as long as it's free.
I really like Jake Gyllenhall as an actor. But damn, this movie is horrendous.

The choreography was horrible, and they had to keep covering up half the fight with bad filmography. You keep seeing close ups of guys grunting, with kicks and punches so slow, you have to watch it on 1.5x to make it look decent.

The original was received in the same way, I’m from Down in the Keys and it did a great thing for the islands, Hurricane Destroyed the Chain of islands-and this was a Great Help. Thanks Jake and Connor give me and the cast of locals a lot more than just a Beat up flick..

This reminds me of the remake of Death Wish, Bruce Willis is great, but when I saw the remake I kept thinking John McLain from Die Hard changed jobs and became a Doctor. Charles Bronson was Paul Kersey and Patrick Swayze is Dalton. Some remakes are okay, most can't cut it.
