Great video. You definitely hit some areas that most people avoid because they are more remote. Makwa is a favorite lake and is FILLED with a dark brown lake trout that is unique to that lake.
Thanks for watching. I prefer the longer trips. The more time I spend out there and the deeper I venture the more I learn about the beautiful north woods. I do a ton of planning a research into the routes I take. I always prep my group and do the best I can to prepare them for trips like this. I try to do at least one large trip every summer.
About 100 feet toward the lake from the big rock there's a small pond just before the lake after some rapids. You can load up on all the small mouth you want for a fry. That was a huge trip.
Nice cinematic view of the trip! That's a nice long route through some really nice country. I really like the picture in picture effect on the map detail at the end. The Zenith plane has really taken a beating since the last time I was there, people are still collecting souvenirs from it I guess. Thanks for making this video!
Another great video. Two questions, if I may. 1) what lake did you do the cliff jumping at? 2) Dude with the beard has a great hat! Can I get a make and model on that? Again, great work on this video!
Hey thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed! The cliffs are on Fishdance Lake. My friend says the hat is from Walmart and he isn’t sure what it is called.
Wow, what a great route.

Scott W Makwa was a gorgeous lake. I love traveling through the more remote areas. There is something special about going places most don’t.
Thank you for sharing that. Wonderful.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
