Beautiful film. Truly breathtaking. And what a heartfelt narration! You could really hear his weathered soul, and the depths of his serenity in that natural environment. I find it hard sometimes, to come to terms with the fact that so few seem to value the natural world, so few recognise the power of nature to heal us, and connect us with our roots as individuals and as a species. We need nature, its coarseness, its unforgiving, unsympathetic exterior humbles us, keeps the hubris of mankind in check.
Watching this was like a salve for the soul. The importance of protecting the Boundary Waters cannot be understated. I have been fortunate enough to experience the Boundary Waters in all of its beauty on two long trips - it's a sacred place, and one worth far more to the world than a thousand mines could ever make in a lifetime of revenue.
The BWCA is the crown jewel of my home state, Minnesota. If you have never been, put it on your list for must visit places. It's one of "Nat Geo's 50 places of a lifetime" for a reason. This place is medicine to the soul. HUGE thanks to Patagonia for bringing light to what's going on in terms of Mining efforts!
Riverhorse Nakadate was my Creative Writing Teacher about a decade ago…he was legendary! Even the most stressed and uptight students had absolutely respect and admiration for him.
Thank you to Patagonia for bringing attention to the beauty of the unbridled wilderness that is the BWCA, and what Polymet Mining is trying to do. This film brought me to tears, knowing that people in this world would destroy something so majestic, simply for monetary gain.
Beautifully filmed. Been to the Boundary Waters and Quetico a dozen times and look forward to many more trips to nourish the soul. The thought of it being polluted just breaks my heart. If you feel the same please align with “Save the Boundary Waters” and/or “Boundary Waters Action Fund” to stop the mining
Yosemite National Park did that to me. Lived there from Spring of 2000 to September 2002. Sick video. I'll let people know. Thank you for this. I appreciate it. .
What a wonderful short film. Amazing work and thanks to everyone involved for bringing attention to this potential injustice. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness should be fully preserved, with no exceptions, forever.
I was lucky enough to be able to experience the boundary waters around age 13 on a week long canoe trip. The experience has never left me, it truly is the most amazing wildness I have ever explored. I hope it can remain as wild and pristine as it was when I explored it many years ago.
Be sure to fight against the proposed mines. We Minnesotans need all the help we can get! The trump administration is dangerously close to pushing this through.
Thank you Patagonia for your support of the Boundary Waters, MNSTOP Minnesota State Taxpayers Oppose PolyMet and Twin Metals, two copper sulfide mines, one threat.

My first experience of paddling was introduced to me in these waters. I cheerish that feeling, the sights, the cold, un-polluted lilly pads linning the prestine waters. Hope these waters, or any water sheds are not ruined or exposed to human destruction.
Thank you, thank you. I've taken some BWCA trip with my sons. In the future when my sons and grandkids return from a canoe trip I will asked them, "How are the lakes?". I pray that they reply, "The lakes are good grandpa".
I was torn between so many emotions throughout this video. Am I to consume this video and go back to hoping it will all sort itself out? Has history taught me nothing?
Thank you, and thank you again many times over. My heart aches for this type of knowing deep within as Riverhorse has shown. As a Fly angler myself nature seeking has been a way of life for myself and partner. BUT, not at this level. knowing is key, seeing is the way. Absolutely spell bounding. Committed to learn and do more about this Mining project. #ItsAllHomeWater.
This is absolutely stunning. Beautifully written, filmed, and felt. Thank you, and may we all come together to prevent harm to this irreplacable space.
Boahhh that film hits me hard, how deep and real, so right . Wow wow wow 🥺🥺 Right now i cried a little bit, thanks for this unreal film and story, its just unique 🖤🖤🖤🫶
Great video, beautiful combination of the images and the music which makes it a radcally but powerful message, thanks ! Does anyone perhaps know the names of the music ?
Thank you Patagonia for this film - A Love letter to Wilderness. A Love letter to our beautiful world. Read by an amazing voice and captured and filmed by another but different company! Thanks for thinking different and sustainable! :)
hermosa cinematografía, narración fuera de serie y producción general completamente impresionante, una pieza magistral que debería difundirse. Necesitamos más cine comprometido con nuestra naturaleza.
Riverhorse was my AP English teacher five million years ago. Glad to see he’s doing well!
The language used is just so captivating. I could listen to this guy talk any day!

That canoe is beautiful … the cinematography, stunning, and the capturing of a moment, perfect.

This man’s voice is almost more soothing than Morgan Freeman’s voice. Very well done video.
He was my senior English teacher in high school. Hands down the nicest guy.
Sounds like josh Lucas

Riverhorse never disappoints. One of the best outdoor writers and voices of our generation.
I have gone to the BWCA for 33 years in row. This video is amazing and speaks to my heart.
This was amazing thank you Patagonia for doing this for the BWCA
I can put this on repeat the whole day and have the same energy and positivity he is sharing to us all. Bigup!
Save our wilderness areas. No compromise. Thank you.
Amazing film and what could be better then knowing that your English teacher is the star of the film.
Yosemite National Park did that to me. Lived there from Spring of 2000 to September 2002. Sick video. I'll let people know. Thank you for this. I appreciate it. .
Wonderful,, magestic wilderness, thank you
beautiful Mr. Nakadate, i hope your son does big things ;)

What a profound start to a video with a truly moving and soothing speaker. Chills. Such beauty
Pure Poetry of the Wilderness.

You should try to make it back there then!

Wow. This really captures what it is like there, and what would be lost if mining begins. Excellent work.
Amazing. Brings a tear to the eye. Love from Canada
One of your best yet @Patagonia.
Been there, it never leaves me.

The narration in this video is spectacular!!!! The scenery is the most amazing of what nature has to offer us. Very well done!!!
AWESOME video. Almost in tears over the beauty, the tranquility, the continual risk it faces.
Patagonia always does beautiful work but this was especially poignant. Thank you!
This a beautiful trip. My son, grandson and great grandson did this a few years ago. Keep nature clean!
what a beautiful film. Such excellent story telling.
This is unbelievably beautiful.

Hey this was my English teacher! What an amazing video!
Perfect combination of stunning pictures and profound narration. It's captivating
Stunningly beautiful film.
Connected and spiritual...well done
One of my very favorite Patagonia docs!
Amazing story, and hits home, as we continue to fight against the building of a Ferrochrome plant in the heart of the great lakes...Sault Ste. Marie.
Thank you ❤
Beautiful. The mine also threatens the Quetico Provincial Park just north of the BWCA in Canada another world class canoe camping area.
Yes, paddled in the Quetico back in the late 1960's - extremely beautiful country!
Haha haha that’s maybe the time i was being thought about :)
Amazingly beautiful, thank you.
Breathtaking! Had to watch it twice back to back.
Beautiful! Makes me stop and take a deep breath.
This is beautiful. From an Englishman who envies the freedom of access to nature and waters in USA. Please continue to fight for it.
Im gonna watch this a few times. Tonight.
This fills my heart.
Poetic and wise.
This is absolutely stunning. Beautifully written, filmed, and felt. Thank you, and may we all come together to prevent harm to this irreplacable space.

Nice tour of the senses.. 😌😌.... no mine...not ever !!

His narration feels just as appropriate in Alaska when you get away from the city
You can‘t do it better, nobody will ever top this, i really believe in that way 🙃

Very well done
This is brilliant.
very nice job!
Gravity doesn't go away.
You can see what nature teaches here and the effect it can have if one lets it
Wonderfull..🥰🥰🥰
What can we do to stop this project?
Beautiful, powerful
Can I borrow this guy to read me bedtime stories
This is the best narrating I've ever heard.
Thank you Patagonia!
Great video Patagonia. Wanted to check though that all the drone shots weren't taken in the wilderness area were they?
No they were not, thanks for checking!
Thank you for your honesty Patagonia.
