Love these books! Would love to see a sticker pack where it concentrates all on walls, doors, furniture and the like. Being able to make our on rooms would be awesome for dungeons, fantasy houses, makeshift homes in the wilderness. The ones you already made with the dungeon stickers are great, but more in never bad.
Love these products: However, perhaps an alternative product idea:::: How about making the pages available (no ring binder holes!) as a collection, boxed? Not folded into a foldout map, but just the loose sheets that could, if required be cello-taped together. Lovely for really mixing up those pages! It would cut the production price as no hard covers required. Also, you could offer the full collection (wilderness, dungeon, town, general) in one big box at a more premium price point. I see it as a bit of a no brainer really, since the printed pages are already in production, so all that is required is design and production of the (good quality) box. What say you Loke? Meanwhile, I will get this and have the lot :) But would still consider upgrading to a loose leaf premium boxed set.
Thanks Tam, Mat - looking forward to the Kickstarter fulfilment! As a DM, just had a thought for an add-on for your next campaign. More spell effects stickers! The ones you did for the Towns and Taverns Campaign were great, but still fairly limited. I would bring all those back, and do tons more (Mage, Cleric, Druid, Warlock etc.)! Another company (ArcKnight?) do something similar, but theirs aren’t as nice visually - and quite a bit more expensive to boot. Anyway, just a thought...
These are a fantastic and very affordable way to make the adventures much more visually interesting, versus doing the plane white paper grid system. Great review - thanks 🙂
These are SOOOOOOOO cool! Especially for someone who lives in a small one-bedroom apartment (flat). I kinda wish they'd have put a hex grid on the opening pages though, maybe with a grassland and/or forest background; similar to the Dungeon mats books having the first pages be 1" squares
It's very weird that the forest maps have small trees located on the intersection of squares. Suddenly, small trees that easily fit on one inch square instead take up 4 squares.
I have the Dungeon version and it is great. Sadly it appears that these are made in china (although not marked on the product) so I can no longer support this company. :(
This is a really cool concept, but for me the huge ugly spiral binding running right through the middle of the maps really ruins the visual appeal. Have you considered using a lay-flat binding instead? These are often used on photo books, and would allow the double page spreads to be completely seamless, without detracting from the functionality. I haven't bought any of your products yet because of that spiral binding. But if you started making them with lay-flat bindings I would probably invest pretty heavily as it would be the perfect solution for me. I'd happily pay a bit extra as well for a high quality binding. IMO this would really push your products to the next level.
