- Naomi goes through the different 1"-grid battlemats available in the Wilderness Books of Battle Mats 2-book kit by Loke Battlemats, which can be used with dry erase and wet erase markers (just don`t leave them on overnight!) They create a 24"x24" (2 feet by 2 feet) place space.

Loke Battle Mats are AMAZING. If anyone is on the fence about getting these... DO IT. They are so good, and so useful. I was lucky enough to meet the owner at the uk games expo this year and he is genuinely one of the nicest people ever. Love your channel . Thank you.

Thank you for the extra videos about the contrast paints, as if pulling books from a section on a shelf, that was rather a nice addition or touch on your part of course. These playmate maps are cool too. I'll watch this later I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment.
Those mats are fantastic. No need to get Volume 2 of the Fantasy one, IMHO, as its too similar to the first, but I have Volume 1 and the Cyberpunk one and they are invaluable. Essential extras for a GM who uses miniatures in battles. Thoroughly recommended. These ones look good as well!

Yes, I got them through Kickstarter, and have already used quite a few of them, in both Dragon of Icespire Peak AND in the Rime of the Frostmaiden (they went fishing, yeeeah)...
The only problem could be the spiral binder in the middle, if You plan on using some buildings or bigger terrain features. Oh, and it is not compatible with larger grids, such as Dungeons and Lasers, which use 30mm grid for easier play. Bummer.
But great maps they are! And beautiful!
It's compatible with all my Pathfinder battle maps :)

Those are just lovely, and I've looked them over and marveled a few times at them, but I cannot set up a castle in the middle of that board. I wish the Book of Matts people would consider some sort of design continuing tape edge binding instead of the ring binder, but I gather that would raise the price precipitously.

These are so cool. You're right, they can trigger some creativity for encounters or adventures if you have writers block.
I like these books. I use them for skirmish wargames.
