In the 90s a 70s revival and in the 2000s an 80s. in the 2010 a 90s revival. Are we going to have a 2000s revival in the 2020s. What would that be? The return of emo fashion? Bling era hip hop?

      Well, considering they were looking 40 years into the future, they weren't that horrible. Jackets with Zippers are totally a thing (also, in a way some of them are military inspired, hence bomber jackets).
      Generally speaking, minimalistic styles often tend towards uniform looks, which are easier to mix and match.
      Now, the dress was pretty off, though with a few alterations it could totally be seen on red carpets.
      So yeah, the way the looks wound up looking like were pretty off (and influenced by the 60s totally underestimating the evolvement of feminism and female emancipation), however the principles they are based on can mostly be found in modern fashion, though you do have to look for it.
      I'm also pretty sure that most of these are just the 50s/60s version of trolling.

    • @GoodbyeRubyTu3sday

      robinsss that's indeed what I said, but I think that today "style" is more an economical and sociological matter that an actual "style" "flair" "personality" matter...I mean nowadays 80% of the girls of my age dress all in the same way, and it's not a question of style to me (maybe a question of not having one ahah), it's more something linked to money, you go to H&M and you buy cheap (both cheap price and cheap material) clothes, you see everybody on the streets wearing the same things and you want to fit into the crowd and stuff like that...I think style has been lost a lot throughout the years

    • @enata
      @enata 9 лет назад +1

      GoodbyeRubyTu3sday Why do you want to fit into the crowd? To me it’s usually frightening when a large group of people dresses all the same... which as you rightly say is often the case with girls today.

    too bad they didn't foresee how disgusting 1940s, 50's, 6os , 70s buildings were !!!! They knocked down beautiful ornate 1800's (and older in europe..) expensive and impossible to re-rpoduce today; architecture. For the brown brick sharp edged, so called modern style..YUCK!! cheap , tacky and hideous dull boxes. Everyone took way too many drugs then. It makes me angry seeing 1930-70's style buildlings, thinking how at the time they thought it waas a grand idea when in reality they are ugly as fuck, de valued and labour is too much now to ever recreate and old building. quick, cheap labour over actual care, quality and style. They chose function (depressing get it it up for cheap) over form (aka, style & value).

      Zeldatheism have you seen buildings made in the thirties they're beautiful for ex. The Chrysler building and the Empire State Building. Other than that I agree with what your saying. The glass boxes we call buildings today are horrid...

      @@connorharry835 The new glass boxes are still way better than most of modernist architecture and built better too.

    Wish we could dress like the 1940s. Even during the war every one dressed nicely.
