In this video I explore one of my favourite places with some beautiful windswept trees. Hopefully, by looking at them we can be inspired in our own bonsai pursuits.
Thank you, Tony, for the amazing look at some very beautiful trees and landscape. So many windswept trees...great inspiration! I know what you mean... Argh!...baked...where for art thou grease! LOL
Thanks for the great inspiration Tony! Sitting here at work having my breakfast. Damn near cooked.🤣 got me cracking up. I think I might have to mimic some of those trees. I’ve got a bunch of little maple outside buried under the snow. And I’m going to give a few of them their own pot come spring.👍
Glad you enjoyed it Dan. You should definitely have a go at styling some of those maples in spring. The sooner you start the sooner they will me majestic bonsai
Great video Tony. It’s always worthwhile spending time in and around nature for, not only bonsai inspiration, but general well-being and mental health. And you ignore those “signs” at your peril. 😂😂😂

Sounds like you managed to complicate the driving test experience mate, but you get there in the end! I love driving test stories. A lad I went to college with, mounted the curb and hit a pedestrian on his test (no injuries) 🤣
I felt shivers and hairs standing up on my arms watching and listening to you in this magnificent video Tony, I'm sure you did also when the snow moved in, however my feelings were from the beautiful way you see and capture nature, the tree you visited prior to your surgery and the halo rainbow moment was truly a sign mate. Thanks David it's certainly a wonderful place to spend a few hours on a beautiful day. Regarding your channel, you should absolutely go for it! You'll probably find that you have to learn quite a few new skills, but it's great fun.
Now this is really great content for my morning breakfast. Nature seems to confound the rules of bonsai. Doesnt nature know that bonsai rules come first...not what we see naturally🤣 That rainbow would have filled me with confidence too - thak you for sharing. Oh and dont steal that incredible juniper :)
🤣Cheers mate. It's always lovely seeing a rainbow, and this one seemed to appear from nowhere. As for the juniper, I know you're only joking, but that thing would need a JCB to get it out anyway

Cheers buddy. You have some amazing landscapes over there, and you definitely have the camera skills. I've never visited, but I'd love to see something similar from your neck of the woods.
this sounds bizarre, but you can get a similar look to the bark on young Ash by sandpapering it, as Sam `aussie bonsai bloke` did with an olive. Im going to try the same this year, but on young beech.
Thanks for the inspiration mate. Those silver birches are really something! Cheers, and get that fitness level up. Spring is just around the corner. It’s going to be a busy one.
