Just the info i was looking for, great job mate. Keep this up i’ll stay tuned
Tony, do you have any update on these 2 or 3 trees of Oaks in the ground?
Love to watch these "old" videos from Tony! Gone too soon !! We all miss him!!
Like to keep videos going
Any thoughts on Blue point juniper
This video breaks my heart. Rip Tony.
Tony still here. And it's always a pleasure to meet him. I think over time he will only have more friends.
You know, I really miss this guy. It’s bittersweet to hear him planning about the future of his bonsai, but knowing what it says about the quality of a man’s character to stay committed to what he loves despite circumstances. I hope that those who have his bonsais remember to every once in a while, maybe post a video about what happened to this or that tree. I ‘d like to think he’s still enjoying them… RIP from the US Tony!
Of course it's natural... you are part of nature too. So whatever you do is a creative force of nature...
I had wandered about your clumping method. As a kid , I would braid trees together to eat them grow in the woods. Softer trees looked awesome. Trying to get black walnut trees to braid was hard. They just wanted to snap. The reason for the black walnut , was for the grain of the lumber they would have produced at my age now. Things like wild fruit trees that grew fast , and limber did great. Plus they made the better tasting peaches. After my fruit trees would grow so much , it's like they would get a disease at the braiding. That's why I didn't know if clumping trees would survive
Just BTW if you apply wire bend the tree where is your wire not on only bald space.
Bummer. You made a difference Tony.
Tony you were the best, miss you
skills he-- yeah,im learning:),thx
It really is inspiring to continue growing my own oak bonsai and pass it on to future generations
Just started watching your video on trimming, and wiring of the tree! Thank you! This helps me to start👍🤗🌲
I'm so sorry , when I am watching this I feel sad for tony
Great video. I believe you could easily add air layering to this list. Your thicker sacrificial branches or even tops of other bonsai you chop could easily be made into another thicker bonsai. Thanks.
I'm afraid we get thick trunks from Mom's side of the family
😢
Wow, so cool I have to try. Just wondering which season you did the air layering? Do you think time matters? Can’t wait to try
I have one of the tree seedling plant that I want to turn into bonsai but it's so long. Now, I've heard that cutting the top off is not recommended. So, how do you make this plant shorter naturally without cutting the top off? I d on't see you cutting the top off on any one of your Maple bonsai?
Love birches. And Tony’s videos. Unforgettable. 🙏
Miss ya, Tony! Rest easy
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fantastic video Tony :) spot on !
I come back to this video ever so often even if I remember the components and might have written em down somewhere 😅 just to see/hear how Tony explains it - because that's what might get people into bonsai! 👍 Rest in peace, mate!
28:33 a perfect example for sometimes you need to take a break, to step back a little and get a new perspective.. although the tree was already quite nice Tony really improved it there.. And it's videos like this that might get people (like myself) into bonsai 👍 You watch this and think, "I can do that. And it's not even expensive.. so even IF I fail - who cares. Let's give it a go!" Thanks Tony for your effort, I would love to see more videos like that - rest in peace, mate!
Great video. RIP
Legend
Very special work
Clever!
Did it survive Tony ?
Hi, I have an cork oak tree that I dug up from my backyard and I am a bit hesitant in cutting the main tap root , is it safe?
You got a great deal. I just bought a mugo tree of similar size, and cost me $30
❤❤❤
Can you tell me how is your tree after a year? Is it still alive? I did thus technique with my ficus virens tresa today and now worried for my tree..
This works only for trees? Misunderstood and I think I need to go to ER
❤
I am so happy to have found this video! Having multiple examples helped me understand the options better :)
You were the man Tony
Pretty cool
You've inspired me to make cement pots. Great results man.
Does anyone know the nursery he went to?
In your oak video, it seems that you might hard prune the lower right branch that is a second apex and angle change in repotting for better movement and visual impact. Just a thought, it's a good tree and would be nice to see it as a great tree. Good luck.
Very nice video... Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us...your humor was spot on !!! (I"m in the States as you would say)
Hi Tony, thanks for the video. I bought my first itoigawa and this video is super helpful!
Great work!
It is very painful for the plant I feel so let it grow natural way।it may not survive in the long run।
❤❤❤
