With respect about your plans to grow all the crop types: remember the sugarcane and cocoa require different temperature than the others, and your mushrooms require dark.
There is something to say about a power room. The large transformer and batteries are a significant source of heat and an ignition source. You can even automatically close and lock the door if volatiles are in the base atmo.
Hey, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. We do have a few plans about games we want to play together. I've ordered her a new gaming laptop so once that comes, she'll have far fewer excuses :D
If memory serves me correctly, the max room size is 1200 frames, ie a 20x10x6 room. so placing interior doors is a great idea. yalls base is getting....large.... for the atmospherics room, what gasses do you intend to store? if im using sm tanks i use a 1x2 with a frame of space in between for pipes/cables etc. (dont forget you can place tanks on a wall, not just the floor!) I also assume you will at a min store O2, N2, Vol and fuel. Leaving Liq N2O and CO2, possibly NOS fuel. i assume water will be stored near/in the greenhouse. Thus i dont think that atmo room will be large enough. If you get into rocket ice mining.......a med cargo full of space ice at 22mol ea. will easily fill a sm tank! Note some crops need "hot" water (30-40C) aka tropical plants. i do know that coca is one, some of the flowers are too, and heating water take A LOT of energy! The other plants i dont think they can handle hot water. I could be wrong on that. i only grow wheat and soybeans. to suck out your old base, use an active vent! vol pump speed is relative to the input pipes volume. active vent, is based off the room volume (kinda) lastly your idea of ferrying the stuff vs chutes, ferrying was BETTER! if you did chutes, 1st you would need to print them, (hope you dont run out of iron) place them, then finally take em down. all in all, great progress!
Hey Charles, Yep the base is getting large. We'll probably look at storing a bit of everything just so we can say we've done it and showed Sophie how to produce and separate everything. Yeah the atmo room probably wont be big enough but we should hopefully have plenty of room to expand. I've not really looked at the Coca plants yet so that will be something for us both to learn.
The irony of you stopping the recording while disassembling, is that since it takes far longer than anticipated you will run out of O2 and the like while you dont have a system currently in place to deal with such shortages... and the ensuing "fast" solutions to the problems can be entertaining.

Yeah, we might have to make a concealed room for those. Under the stairs might work nicely.

But I wanted to see her reaction to the mess! ;)
Spoiler alert, she huffed and puffed and tidied it up. Took her about 20 minutes :D

Hey,
We managed to dissemble the base without anything happening which is good. We'll see what happens in the next :D
