My starterbase exploded on Mars, and I think it was the cooling canister in a locker. In the same locker there was mining charges, and beside the locker I had stored the o2 tank and the fuel tank, =base gone. :)
this comment is for Mrs. Chewey, I agree with you that the "workshop" looks...."thin". personally id expand the floor area by one more frame ea side. to a lower area to a 5 wide (7 with recesses). another building tip is odd numbers are your friend. especially when you are trying to center things. as for your design. are trying to have a balcony system where you will spend your time mostly up top, being able to view on things below? like a manager looking down overviewing the "action/ground floor"? like a "power control room" where all the batteries are on the floor where you can see em, you normally stay up top on the walkways where you can see displays giving you the "main" info you need. 2nd, as you plan this base out (FYI ur doing a better job than i do atm) theres some rooms you will need to think about in the future, and some have "helpful rules" on where you place them. Common rooms ppl generally have are Green House, Atmospherics (majorly important and generally LARGE) , and Storage (Silo room). There are far more types rooms/areas ppl usually have (common/rec room, kitchen, trader/rocket control room etc). Thus try to plan out where you would like them to go. cause once you build, wire and plumb em. trust me, moving them is a PAIN IN THE ASS! 3rd, lastly, for changing your char appearance, have you tryed to start a solo world (creative will do) then change your appearance? that might work and be saved to your settings file. Change appearance is in the ESC menu
Hi Charles. Thank you for agreeing with me, I did try and tell him it was to slim but he doesn't listen! Going to get him to expand it each side as you've said and see if it looks any better. An overhead balcony feel is exactly what I'm going for. We changed it up a bit after recording so it hopefully now makes more sense/flows a bit nicer but let me know what you think - open to ideas, I don't do building so I'm well out my depth. And thank you for the heads up about the other rooms. That's more than my supposed tutor has told me!! Gives me somewhere to start now, I hate winging it. I'll give starting a solo world a go and see if my appearance changes, sick of looking like an old chewy! You'll see if it works in the next video 😊
Yeah it's a rarity. Hopefully I can keep her into it. She did say she's looking forward to playing again. She asked if she could do some mining without me :D
Love how you two, don't play the blame game, in such a throwback.... not.😅 You do know that, since the water update, destroying/removing a gas storage doesn't delete the content.
@ I think this is the best toughest game… she doing well with your help. I bought the game in 2017 and never played until 2020 when people posted on RUclips then I started to learn. And to you great job leading the way

Yep, I think it was our canister as well that caused the problem. Whatever it was, it was my fault (I have to say that :D)

I can't blame her apparently. It's all my fault! :D
I think the design is great on the new building is my hardest decision is the building. Great job with the build
Hi Douvonnie,
Thanks for the comment. She has done a good job so far.
