    If you turn the resin jug on it's side (horizontal instead of perpendicular) the resin won't 'chug' out when you're pouring it. Another fantastic piece.

    Hello. I watched your video with great pleasure and interest. Despite the fact that I am not a fan of resin, I admit that the result is magnificent. I also love the shape you gave to this beautiful vase. As usual I have a question. You told me once that wood chips are recovered to be used as insulation. In the event that the wood chips are mixed with the waste resin as is the case now all of this can have the same utility?
    I have a second question which has nothing to do with the video. I often see in the summer and even on the internet that snow and blizzards are wreaking havoc in your country. Every time I see this I think of you. Has this calamity affected you personally? I hope there is nothing and that the info is overkill to create a buzz. I wish you a very nice day. Gabriel (France).

      Hello! Thank you for your comment as always!!🙇🇯🇵
      I'm not a big fan of resin either. However, due to new challenges and requests from many people for resin works, I started using resin. Basically, I would like to solidify and turn wood and things other than wood, which would be difficult without the use of resin. The area I live in has no effect, with only a few snowfalls a year. In many places, it seems that several meters are piled up, and it seems that snow removal work is busy every day. Fortunately I am blessed with the environment. I wish you and your family health.

    Thank you for showing!
    But I have a question concerning the tool you used in 3:15: do you use a vakuum pump or a compressor? In my opinion both makes sense: at first a vakuum to keep out the captured air and than before hardening a pressure to fill the holes. But I don't made it before 😇

    • @YamabikoWoodArt
      @YamabikoWoodArt  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment!
      This time, I didn't use a vacuum pump. Abandoned because the vacuum chamber is small. Originally, I think it is better to suck out a certain amount of air with a vacuum pump and then put it in a pressure cooker. However, this time the pressure pot alone worked.

      I'm not a big fan of resin either. However, due to new challenges and requests from many people for resin works, I started using resin. Basically, I would like to solidify and turn wood and things other than wood, which would be difficult without the use of resin. I wish you and your family health.

      @@YamabikoWoodArt You are more than welcome! You are one of my favorite turners. You are in a top 4 group that I have of which I can not put in an order from 1st to 4th. In other words, you 4 are tied at 1st for me. And I have studied A LOT of turners. I haven't seen 1 piece of yours that I didn't like, however I am particularly fond of your wet/green turned goblets and how they just "do their own thing" as they cure. I think a fitting name for those would be "fairy goblets" for some reason. Thank you so much for sharing your craft. You are an inspiration indeed.

    Could you please try something similar but with no dye in the resin, or maybe, just a hint of ocean blue so the resin stays clear. That way it appears as if one is looking into a crystal clear lake. I'm asking all the "turners" I follow. Would really love to see it with Burl!!!! If this is a message I've posted already, I apologize. I promise I'm not a computer.

    A beautiful piece of wood. The red is very complimentary and the brown just adds to the red. You have a sharp eye for colors. Just one question; why do I see a lot of the metallic/pearly colors? Why not just a flat/opaque color? I wrote this before I watched the persimmon tree.
