I owned the original game for the Acorn Electron many years ago & was in awe of just how much gameplay was crammed into an 8 bit computer. Ian Bell & David Braben were geniuses! It was so far ahead of its time. It's fantastic to see how it's evolved into the game it deserves to be & not left in the past as a forgotten gem. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it.

I love playing this game, but most RUclipsrs don't explain that well on how to do the ship functions. I think they assume you will just figure it out yourself. I liked the way you explain how to play this, and I picked up some tips I had no idea about... thumbs up!

Limpets can be synthesized from IRON and NICKEL by ship at any time... I just found out after making the same mistake couple of times after watching this. Lol

I still forget to stash my cargo scoop and complaining to myself why I can't keep up with NPC's in dogfights. :p And hey man! I still pick up junk/materials via cargo scoop.. lol inefficient or not. Gonna be an interesting watching you play. Especially with a mouse and keyboard. I don't think I can play this game without a HOTAS. So props to you. I'm also thinking there would be more edit work happening compare to a game like NMS. Hope people like it. Ohh.. loved the Cobra MKIII.. still remember it fondly.

They did away with manslaughter cause you killed someone. That is murder so you will die for it. Lesson -- Use your Kill Warrant Scanner to verify the target is "Wanted" before you fire your first shot at him.

@@crimped357 home is an actual button on the PC, called Home. Sorry. I don't have Elite on a console but if you can remap the controls I suggest going in there and seeing if it's even mapped. The DLSS scanner is hard enough with a full keyboard!
