    You're right Chris. I'm the one who's supposed to quit and nobody else is going to do it for me. If i want to live longer life i've got to have a genuine desire to quit smoking and stay commited to it. Thank you for making me understand more and your encouragement to stay quit if possible for the rest of my lifetime. May the Lord God help me. Thank you.

    Chris
    I have watched almost all your videos, even the ones where you were still having a hard time of it. Watching your evolution to self actualization has inspired me to
    quit smoking once and for all. You rock dude!

    Thanks for tackling the various psychological aspects of this drug. Eventually it is going to click and I'll realize the truth. The illusion of pleasure has been sabotaging my efforts and even now I still see that I think there is something pleasurable in smoking while part of me knows it's irrational. Mental health issues and smoking is a very bad mix. Thanks again for devoting your time to videos like these, you are my favorite person in this field. Best regards,
    Fil

      Thank you for the kind words. No doubt you'll get there when it comes to shattering that illusion. Maybe it's something to think about the next time you pick up a cigarette - "rationally, logically, what good is this actually doing for me?"

    Hi, Chris. Thank you for the video it's helping me a lot. I have decided and chose not to smoke. I'm not even keeping track of few days i have stopped smoking after my day 14 on quitting smoking. I just want to stay quit for the longest time period. I got your book Quit smoking and be Happy and your recommended book to read The Chimp Paradox. I'm still reading and working on it. Thank you for your help and support. 😢May God bless you forever.

    Hey Chris, thank you for posting these videos, they really do help. I am on week 5 of being smoke free, but the entire time I have had a horrible time fighting with my anxiety. I regularly have the feeling of a lump in my throat or chest pain from my anxiety. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me buspar to deal with my anxiety, which at first seemed like it was helping but now is making me feel worse. I feel miserable having to live this way but I refuse to go back to nicotine. Is this level of anxiety normal for ex-smokers? It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Please help, and again, thank you for helping people out like you do.

    I liked the concept of I get to live without cigarettes. I even liked that it diloes cost us a "small fortune"..I also accept that cigarettes do not do any good..👍

    Well, Chris, i used to be 'addicted' to making some of my friends who are smokers aware of the danger of the addiction to cigarettes. As the time goes by, i think the best way to make them quit is let them experience and learn how the cigarettes they smoke have affected them psychologically from time to time.

    • @ChrisSkoyles
      @ChrisSkoyles  4 года назад +1

      Absolutely - I think the best approach is to definitely to let people reach that point where they want to make a positive change for themselves :)
