- I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to review "The Familiar" by Leigh Bardugo, despite not being a die-hard fan of the author (shadow and bone, six of crows etc.) Set against the backdrop of Spain, this book is a whirlwind of death, magic, tournaments, kings, religion, and forbidden romance, with one girl caught in the chaos just trying to survive.

Fascinating. I see this differently. I loved the pacing and finish. Didn’t coast for me. Just didn’t speedrun into a crazy finish. Lovely book overall.
For sure! That’s why I think it will just depend on what you enjoy ☺️ but as an overall book it was very good!! So enjoyable
Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom are my favourite books ever! Highly recommend if you pick any books of Leigh's to read.
Those seem to be the most popular ☺️ I’ll add to my TBR!
They are still okay if you skip over the shadow and bone series?
Leigh Bardugo is one of my favourite authors!! (Six of Crows duology is so amazing!! 😍) So I’ve been very keen to read this! LOL the mispronunciation of the names is so relatable 😂
Should I read Six of Crows?? 🤔
