Your song is great, disturbing and hilarious all at the same time. I guess Piper's talking about the doctrine of omnipotence and total predestination which has become something conservative (especially Reformed) Christians have been trying to hammer home. Disclaimer: I don't agree with such theology but personally I wouldn't write a song dissing Piper. 🤣Perhaps it would be helpful if you can make a video elaborating on why you disagree with Piper on this particular issue.
Hey brother thanks for your comment. So much ink and time has already been spilled/spent in debates between Calvinists and Armenians and all the in-betweens - Close to 500 years of debates. I was not keen on adding more to that (even though I have SO MANY thoughts about that video). I think having a worship song that expresses this theology is a better strategy. Because one thing is to say you believe one thing and another one is when you all sing it together in a worship setting. My prayer is that different approaches like this open some eyes to the consequences of bad theology and how it portrays God to be. If a Calvinist cannot sing this song at church, than I really doubt he is Calvinist
I like the original better. It edifies God. I personally think this was a waste of your time and talent. It actually makes me feel sad; it tends to make you look arrogant. I hope you will take it down. Neither God nor the church needs this.
I very much like the original better as well! I would never sing this song because I don't believe that theology. Piper, on the other hand, should have no issue with singing this song...unless he does not really believe what he says he believes on this topic (which I believe is the case with most Calvinists). Bad theology has consequences that go beyond academic debates. It impacts millions of lives
😂 so good
😅🥰 thanks my friend
