Unfortunately I don’t have a link, I just pulled them from some High Bank Distillery bottles. I’ve also found that sometimes Pikesville or 13th Colony corks can work.
So looks like they're gone from SharedPour, but for future consideration, are these better than 2x OF 1924 or better than a Murray Hill Club release or Jospeh Magnus Cigar Blend? Even taking into consideration store markups, this price point would have to exceed Jack 12, 10 or even a bottle of both.
Significantly better than 1924 and MHC, cigar blend depends on batch but unless you're talking batches earlier than 60 then old stubborn smoked JMCB, and I loved jd12 but this also smokes that. Just so rich, oily and flavorful
It's a great whiskey. But pricing is getting way out of hand and for 250 dollars given the age statement there are other options that you can buy multiples of. Buying 2 puts you over 500 with tax and shipping. A whiskey that is not even 100% 12 years old and it's 250. So now we're way over the 10 per year pricing and even over 20 per year. Sold out at seelbachs now.
Yeah what folks don't realize is that this will keep happening even past the boom. Younger whiskey at higher and higher prices. Hopefully in the near future this sits on the shelves for years and we'll be able to hunt dustys.
I don’t doubt this is great but I’ve become more selective this year. I’m avoiding most premium priced NDP products and whiskeys that lack transparency. Too many great whiskeys for less where I know what I’m buying.
That’s the entire point of the review-to spend the money and try this product so that others potentially don’t have to (if it isn’t good). But if it is good, even with those factors you mentioned, then I’ll be honest and recommend it, while still being clear about its shortcomings. Those folks out there who watch the channel and have some level of trust in my palate might then feel better about spending the money, even with those factors at play. I see your point, but I also think it’s pretty reductive.
@@DrumsAndDrams I'm drinking a whiskey right now that comes in a canister with a yellow label that cost me $80. It's super premium too. Cheers to you, I do like your videos.
@@DrumsAndDramsjust got mine in, it’s great, I wish I could get you a sample of another $200 bourbon I’ve not seen you try that I thought beat it pretty solidly in a side by side. MHCSRB4
After my first bottle arrived, I had to go ahead and order a second. I wouldn’t normally do that on something so expensive but they’ll be gone forever after this release and now’s the time to get a backup
Lol no information on the source for $250 nah ill stick to my Chattanooga Whiskey store pick that's phenomenal for 55 bucks 😂. Just for another comparison the wife and I went to their Founders 12 release party had good food and great launch party only pours and took home a bottle of Founders 12 for $25 less than the asking price here😂. So my next question is what is the actual price of that bottle landed are you in 300 territory with taxes fees or shipping? If so os that one bottle worth 3 times SRP of Stagg, Jack 12, ECBBP, EHTBP, etc etc.?
Like he keeps saying throughout the video, this is about the experience. That’s what is being sold. People that buy this don’t care about price. I’d love to have some of that Chattanooga pick you got though. I have the white port, 111, and rye.
I personally don't get that much of an experience out of just packaging that's why my example was an actual experience at the distillery. If they would tell more of a story of the whiskey itself without relying on a nice presentation only maybe I would bite on that being part of the experience. I like a cool bottle and all but not an extra few hundred bucks worth. Yes it's harder for a small NDP or distillery to produce a product and it will be more expensive but again I used my analogy of Chattanooga Whiskey on purpose there are comparables there. This just feels like a cash grab and companies better get it now because the days of price gouging with "secondary" MSRPs is coming to an end. The Bourbon Bust is going to be hard on companies that don't offer a sub $50 product real soon. And for all those that are buying to hold back one day will anyone remember this release or company in 10 years? So I'm not sure it will ever be worth what they are demanding for their products.
I so appreciate you bringing this off the radar option. Yes pricey, but with today’s prices always looking for a new wow without the brake the bank 1,000 price.
Sounds great but they are nuts for asking $250 for this….
I expect more transparency for that price point.
Love your videos and content. Keep em coming👍
can you link the synthetic corks you use please?

Yes I'm also interested, especially vs. Not the regular Murray Hill Club but the MHC Special Release Batch 4. That's my top of the year so far.
Bottle belies the juice, if your assessment resonates. I like the canister though 🤘🏼

100%. The market is over saturated with sourced stuff
Would you trade a Russell’s 13 for this bottle?
Ugh that’s a tough one. I’ve had a batch 4 that didn’t blow me away of RR13.. I’d probably trade that one. Others.. maybe not
According to Seelbach's the Batch 2 is no wheat. Corn/Rye/Barley.
Seelbachs shows this as a corn/rye/malted barley mashbill as expected
Good call! Dunno how I missed that
Your review is spot on. I'm glad I secured a backup before they sold out online. Ed is crushing it!
So $250 for a brand I've never heard of, that's sourced, blended, unknown mash bill and bad corks?
You missed the essential part though - the whiskey.

Loved the B1, gonna have to at least get a sample of this one! Cheers!
Absolute banger. I should have bought more than one myself.

I had do something similar with the corks…
This bottle absolutely worth $250
