A very fast dribbler with a ton of technical skills and an instinct for goals. One of the best in his generation. Really enjoyed his partnership with Dennis Bergkamp. The only time I stan Arsenal was when they had both Bergkamp and Overmars.

He was so fast but also he was perfectly 2 footed. He could go around the outside or through the inside. A real nightmare for defenders.
Overmars gave defenders sleepless nights as they would agonize of trying to keep up with his pace. My God was he fast and had great finishing skills.

Blew me away the first time I saw him play for Ajax. Tends to be forgotten now because Robben is so great. Robben may well be a better player but was he a better winger?

Man he could run for days...relentless with it...he was the kinda winger that would keep defenders busy for the whole 90 minutes...just kept on comin...
Quick on his feet and unpredictable in his movements. Slightly underrated but at the same time not really. His career was plagued with injuries and he lacked certain qualities. Still my favorite player back in his Arsenal days. I tend to root for the underdogs ^^

There's a good video on here of an older overmars just before he retired absolutely leaving a younger C.Ronaldo behind. Not even close im afraid. Overmars pace was electric and clearly underrated.
if you notice, overmars does not telegraph his shot on goal, he only telegraphs his feints by swinging his arm....very smart, harder for keeper and players around...
Marc have the tenancy to take on defender and round them up with his speed and first touch. Often leaving them bewildered
I still regard the Van Gaal Ajax as one of the five best teams i have ever seen....and Overmars was fundamental part of this once in a lifetime team.
