($90 IN 90 Minutes) SUPER TALL Backyard Gets Mowed
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 окт 2024
- New client just moved in and needs some help whipping the tall grass in the backyard into shape.
Q: How much did you make?
A: This job was completed Monday, August 30th 2021. I arrived on site at 12:06 PM and departed at 1:34 PM. I quoted $90 USD for this job. I was on site for 88 minutes, which means I narrowly exceeded my revenue goal of $60 per hour (or one dollar per minute). $90/88 minutes = 1.02 dollars per minute ($1.02 per minute). If I had not filmed, I likely would have saved 20-30 minutes and far exceeded my target revenue goal.
Q: What equipment are you using?
A: TORO 60” HDX 2000 w/ MyRide Suspension, BOBCAT 48" ZS4000, HART 40 Volt string trimmer, ECHO PAS2620 with straight shaft edger, STIHL BR800 blower.
Q: Why are you only mowing in sections?
A: So you can have different camera angles and see close up rather than one camera angle that never moves the whole time.
Q: You should have bagged it
A: Bagging isn't a common practice nearby. No one commercially offers it, and likely no one would pay for it even if they did.
Q: BRO WHERE ARE THE STRIPES?
A: No one cares about stripes down here. They just want the grass cut. Plus I have found you can’t stripe and make a good video at the same time (Feel free to prove me wrong. Send me the link to your video and I will be your first thumbs up!) :D

Where's everyone watching from? I'm in Sevierville, TN. It's awesome to see you build this cool little community!
I'm around Brad in NE Florida.
Houston TX.
Seattle
Stl. Love your area of Tennessee
Susquehanna Pennsylvania, below Binghamton NY
Love the content! I used to work for a lawncare company in southwest florida, and it's fun to relive the old days through your vids :)
This guy on a zero turn running around like he's on a free for all track. It gives me hope that I can succeed at anything as long as I show up!
1. I think he does it to avoid moving his camera around and 2. It doesn’t matter because it’s nearly impossible to get decent striping on southern grasses like St. Augustine and centipede
Well, the first step to succeeding IS showing up, so you may be onto something!
@@jstrick85 I've given up explaining🤣
Unless someone tries to film themselves mowing (or has heard me explain) they usually don't get it.
I always enjoy looking at a freshly edged lawn.....
Very pleasing to watch, great edits and camera angels. Short and straight to the point. Good job on YT and also your work.
Tampa, FL
Brad, man I love your channel and your videos. Very cathartic. You're an excellent businessman and your work ethic is unmatched. I do have a question I'm hoping you can answer. When you're finishing the job while blowing, and it's hot and you're tired and sweaty and you've had a long day, do you ever find a tuft of grass next to the fence or in the yard that you've missed? It happens to me all the time and it's supremely annoying, especially when I thought I was done. :-)
Yes! Worst feeling ever! 😂
@@CopperCreekCuts can I find a job....I'm 43 years old from 🇪🇬 Egypt....I have 8 years experience in this field...thank you 😀
I'll never get over how much edging makes a difference in a lawn appearance. Also, Prison Mike hated the Dementors.
I agree. After watching these videos i started edging my lawn and people have noticed and commented. I bought a Black & Decker electric edger and it works great.
The music was a nice little cherry on top! Thanks for today’s dose of therapy.
What was the very first song that started playing? It doesn't sound like it's any of the listed titles in the description.
Cheers from JAX, satisfying transformation!
I always double cut
Primary Cut
Edging
String trimming
Finish cut
Blowing back to the lawn.
Ye old box cut again
It mulches the debris caused from edging and string trimming making a cleaner cut instead of leaving clippings on the ground but adds more time
L
Great video me and my 4 year old son river loved it
I liked how you distrust the clippings, I wish my guy would do that. I always looks like hay when he's done.
The yard looks amazing. Every homeowner with a yard or two, should invest in a weed trimmer, and the edger is optional. They might succeed in minimizing the weed growth.
I think you love trimming. Nice video!😊
It’s been a while Brad good to see you posting great lawn videos man.
I only recently had the opportunity to mow with a mower similar to the one featured in the video and it cannot be understated how much fun those things are. Makes me want to get into the lawncare business!
It's fun. Just when you have 90 yards a week it gets old sometimes. In Florida you gotta get on earlier
Prison Mike 🤣 I am here to scare you straight!
😆
Looks good Brad. 👍
I just started my mowing business and all my stuff just likes to break all the time. I hope to get better equipment someday.
I got the same Problem here...
Been waiting for 2 months on backordered parts for my zero turn!
A few days ago, my Lawnmower breaks and now I wait for a new one...
But 2 months waiting is hard... 😞
Invest in good equipment. I’m buying too of the line prices one at at time. This is my side business but I cant use the “house money” says my wife🤣 so i have to find other ways of making money to save to invest in new commercial products. Gonna cost a fortune to get a stand on commercial mower.
The owner must be so generous, I mean 90 for that size of the lawn? That's real good money
Awesome job! As always, you upload quality videos with excellent camera angles. Loved the trimming!
The Bobcat mower looks nice.👌🏼
It looks super nice now. Awesome work.
Peep the surface cleaning lines on the driveway 😬
Must be nice to live in Florida and have the beach that close all the time. We were there a couple months ago
The only reason I golf is so I can drive the cart. May have to take up lawnmowering. Lol. Great job! Looks like new!
It was cool getting grass on my face and helping with the blower. It felt like I was physically there!
love it. and i like that you use an electric trimmer. i love my ryobi 40v brushless.
That hart putting in work 👍🏽
Beautiful
Always a pleasure to watch!
Very tidy in the end. Super job!
That electric fencer will keep the kids (or maybe it's for the dog?) in. I think every house should come equipped with one just for the occasional jail breaker! Nice job!
Nice job. I would of trimmed/edged the backyard before I cut it. Would of saved you from walking the entire fence blowing it. The mower would of cleaned it up. Just a suggestion. The cut looks good though.
Great video
Thanks for the great and awesome video
I have a question. How many batteries did Brad have to use to weed eat that whole yard? I might invest in one of those hart weed eaters if the battery has a reasonable use time. Thanks
Compared to my lawn, that grass was short before you cut it
Nice work Brad. I'm curious, what where the yellow plastic things on the fence posts? Is it for an electric wire to keep animals from going under the fence?
I was going to ask the same; judging from the condition of the fence in general, I'd say it's an electric fence to keep the domestic beast(s) from crawling under, although I would have put the money spent for the electric fence toward repairing/replacing the entire fence - that's just me. 🤷🏼♂️
You nailed it. I talk about it in the upcoming Friday long version.
@@GarrettWorcester Maybe the electric bit was put on when the fence was still in good shape a decade ago or so. Though i bet that a new fence is way way way more expensive than that electric fence addon. Where i live they ask 80$ for one panel of 1.8 x 1.8 meters. Multiply that by something like 300 meters they have in this video… multiple thousands of $. And still didn’t calculate in the fence posts and quickset concrete. An electric fence kit is maybe 300$ (random guess).
We're those things on the bottom of the backyard fence for an electric wire?
French drains would probably help
How many lawns were cut until that sweet ride was paid off?
Very strange way to mow but bobcat is great
Great video and the prison Mike joke was fire. Ha ha ha
On another note are you still using the toro 60v heavy duty and is the cut quality acceptable to you for cutting a customers lawn?
“I will scare you straaaaaiiight!”
Good
You should put sun screen on head too!
Another great lawn groom! I am wondering if you have a channel that features these same vids with equipment sounds only? If not, would you consider it? Thank you.
Is anyone else sorta impressed by how long that Hart trimmer is lasting? And I don’t mean in terms of the battery life lol
Nope. It's basically a Ryobi. I had it for 8 years before it gave out. And the one I had was not even the brushless variant
I love the music it starts out with, but you don’t list it. What is it please?
I want to know too! I've heard it before on a rug cleaning channel and I love it.
I found it!!
ruclips.net/video/2uNrYnhKuwA/видео.html
@@kortniemichele Thank you! (I watch that rug cleaning channel, too!)
might i suggest a rotor trim around the ac block?
What are the yellow things attached to the fence posts? Another great job.
Brad, nice makeover, just a small question, did you ever go back to the little round patio you pressure washed to wash the brick walls?
Do you have a lot of St Augustine grass in your area? I actually put St Augustine sod in my lawn over 10 years ago and it is just beautiful. I'm in a suburb of Atlanta.
I thought you bought a ryobi electric ride on. At least I thought it was you. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Fantastic job! But why propertys so large for a single house?
Welcome to suburban America
Prison Mike had more street cred
question! I love to watch your videos while i do schoolwork. Is it better for you if I watch an hour long one a once or twice, a shorter one a few times, or a bunch of different ones?
If I had to guess a few different ones or a shorter one a few times but hopefully Algorithm king brad sees this and replies lol
Hey Brad,
Can you give me your thoughts on what equipment I should buy for my personal use? I noticed your electric weed eater and I want an electric one, but can't find one I like. Any suggestions on products I can use for my personal yard?
Dewalt and Milwaukee make some. If you have a specific tool brand you already have battery’s for you can look into them for a trimmer.
One quick question no hate all at all just was gonna ask why do you decide a electric trimmer over a gasoline one i would say a gasoline one has more power but thats just my opinion and i wanna know yours :)
What does the blowing at the end do? Other than the back deck it mostly just seems to be sending the clippings into the air.
On a seperate note, seems like they have a flooding issue in that one part of their yard.
Spreads out the wet clumped grass and the trimmed clippings so they can break down easier and looks better. When you have a powerful blower it works better than the mower.
Super tall???? 90 dollars!!!!! No way man I’m here in Texas and people wouldn’t pay 90 for that. Damn :/
The Jeff Bezos of landscaping.
Is it just me or anyone else has this feeling that every house he works on looks exactly the same? Sometimes I even get confused if I already watched the video or not lol
Yup typical backyard especially
Brad you do a great job just not fond of the music, My intention isn’t to hurt anyone’s feelings
Prison Mike look rules. Is this a new customer or a one and done ?
Ok honest question....what's the difference between the sit down zero turn vs stand up zero turn? The stand up is smaller easier to maneuver..I guess?
Different strokes for different folks is all. Someone like sitting because of their back but then there are those who like standing because of their back. People like zero turn just to sit or because of bas knees. Just personal opinion is all. It’s like me enjoying a belt driven walk behind to someone who likes hydrostatic drive.
See about pressure washing the wall?
How long do the batteries last on the string trimmer?
what are those yellow pegs in the fence
What trim head and line are ya using? My line tends to get chewed up after any significant amount of time and I have to constantly bang on the head to manually extend the line.
Why does the grass get so chewed up by the mower tyres?
The hair on my head do not catch my sweat, constantly leaks as if I poured water on top. Not sure if that's a good thing, but worried about it.
How much would you charge for a regular maintenance this property? Like, if you were coming back to service this property a week after this video was taken..
I think $50ish. Took around a half hour/40 minutes.
Hi friends
What's that edging tool you start off with called?
Is the mail box mounted weird or is it not.
Why not weed whack before mowing?
Where could i get your standing lawn mower and side trimmer?
Not a fan of mulch kits?
where all my Lubuskie Cleaning fans at???
Came to the comments looking for this.
Where’s the stripes?
I miss Bertha!
I dont understand why you mow in little tiny squares vs long straight lines. It irk’s me.
Shannalangley yes love you McAlester girl 💙🖤💜❤🧡💛💚
Why don't you catch the cuttings instead of just leaving it?
Cost more 💲 to bag and most home owners just want the lawn mowed for cheap.
Why not just weed whack before mowing and then you don’t have to bring the blower out?
If everyone were to do the same thing the same, life would really suck.
@@warrwarrwarrwarr well that makes no sense. Just don’t see the point in doing more work than you should
👌🤗❤🌻
People pay you to cut their yard like that???? I guess I just don't understand the circles... why not stripe it for them?
have u ever thought of investing in a darwins grip...ur backside will thank you later when u got like 8 on for the day:-)......aww man u didnt blow ur name in the back yard🤣
Hello
looks like the yard is being ripped down to dirt
I hate how he doesn’t care about stripes
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍👍👍👍
He can’t cut
second
The grass is not so good😎
Gets sued for cutting the neighbors grass, it is very hard to differentiate the edge of the yard.
Brad that grass isn’t that tall
You always craft the RUclips title based on the T.G.P. or tallest grass present. Over 3 foot tall sprout? Then this yard is super tall!😂
First? First! Cool :)
