My silly huge order from Reaper Bones 6 has yet to arrive, but i was near the end of shipping as i ordered far too much 😢😅 also in the UK, so was a further delay but should be here soon.
Thanks for the view and the comment. I didn't handle the core set models too much because they didn't require assembly, and I thought they felt mostly like normal bones black, but I just glued some of the tombs of hakir set, and that plastic is HARD. I know they use 2 different factories in china, so maybe it's that. The storm giantess addon on the other hand was rubbery and I thought her legs would buckle.
So, i won't be rattle can priming mine without a test on one or two models I don't care about. (and i won't be rattle can priming the large soft minis like the storm giantess or the anniversary dragon). basically most available paint brands are not consistent in their formulation, and a paint that had been safe in the past, may not be safe the next you buy it. Krylon, Testors, rustoleum, and any brand of similar cost or cheaper use whatever substitutable solvents are cheapest when they go to buy new raw materials. you may have better luck with expensive games workshop or army painter, but for the price of 3 cans you can buy a cheap battery airbrush and a bottle of stylenres airbrush primer. (hint airbrush primer can be brushed on too). This bones black does seem to be harder than what i've had in the past, so maybe it'll hold up better? But i probably can't test it here until late spring.
Gw chaos black worked fine on all my bones over the years, army painter rattle cans did not work and did not cure(chaos black fixed them for the most part).
Looking good. This new material is so much better than the Bones material on their first kickstarters. Especially the human sized models and smaller.

This mini pack looks great, the quality seems better than 3d printed models. How many minis do you get from this pack?

Huge quality upgrade. I dropped Bones after the 3rd release and honestly kinda regret most of it. This stuff looks crisp though
So can we spray prime them?
