really well-made video! one small detail I might want to add at around 2:42, buried treasure clones the block it replaces (usually sand or gravel) to all its sides that are air or liquid, unless that side has air or liquid below that block too, in which case it clones the block it's on top of (the stonelike block) to that side (you can see this at 2:55 where it clones gravel to one side and stone to the other because there's water below that stone block). and if the buried treasure replaces air or liquid (usually due to it generating in a cave/ravine/pool where the topmost stone block is exposed), it places sand around it. probably not really helpful info, but it's something I think is nice to know. also, ore generation occurs after structure generation, which is why you see the bt at 2:51 have iron ore under it but not clone the iron ore to its sides, since bt generated earlier when the block it was on top of was still stone. bt having the ability to clone blocks has some funny consequences, since it generates after mineshafts, it can replace a cave spider spawner and clone that spawner to its side, but the NBT data isn't copied, meaning you get a pig spawner. there's a seed with it too: -5364344938332933183 at 2137 59 9, found by andrew from MC@H oh no I'm becoming crafterdark 🛃
@@pncakespoon8373 edit: I've looked at the code and stone variant gen occurs after bt gen, so while bt only clones one type of stonelike block, one or more of those blocks may be replaced by stone variant gen
One tip from someone who learnt this stuff the hard way, go into a creative world and /locate buried treasure. Click to teleport there and close your eyes, fly a bit in a random direction, open your eyes and try to find the BT. Teleport to a random spot and repeat to practice finding BT.
Great video! The tips are very useful, I did not even know all of them. 1 important thing I would add at 4:49 "The Effects of Settings" is fps cap. Unlimited fps can make it close to impossible to do mapless, finding a suitable fps cap makes the values consistent. For me 240 fps works well.
ive been trying to find an in depth guide on advanced strats like this for a while, thanks so much

so it's not possible for it to have cloned 2 different stone-like blocks to it's sides?

Peepopractice is better
If i close my eyes to fly in a random direction i'd probably end up accidently closing the game

wdym almost impossible?
@@gus8696 it was no problem with my old specs, with my new specs uncapped reading do not really give useful info
THANK YOU THIS WAS THE ONLY VIDEO I NEEDED
great video, but it would be awesome if you could increase the mic volume
pepeLaugh this feels like watching a math lesson, thanks!!
As a person who is bad at mapless, I needed this. Thank you.
You explained the differences between the two sets of numbers on pie but not which one you recommend using. I assume you have a preference?
i don't bother with the numbers. i just look at the pie chart.
I look at the right most number in blockentities I think it’s called
if you're looking at numbers, the right number is genereally more consistent, but I just look at the chart myself too
7:45 also can use the blue/red lines on F3 to help direction towards 9,9 :D Amazing video
This was actually pretty helpful, thanks poundcake’s spoon.
thank you I hope I will get better at mapless after watching this
thank for wonderful tutor Carlos Sainz
とても良い、具体的なビデオです
I might PB with the help of this video, thanks bro
Update: I PB’d without the help of this video. I will correct this mistake.
Man, don't you wish you one day had 1K? But good video
really good and comprehensive explanation
good vid BUT WHY IS IT BLURRY
10:41 does this mean that cooldown skip is not a viable strategy when searching for bt's?
