This is how I do maples buried treasure lol: 1. Spawn on a beach 2. Know that I’m not gonna get a shipwreck 3. Go to 9 9 in a chunk nearby 4. Don’t find a chest 5. Reset the run Great video though! I’ll definitely see how I can use proper maples buried treasure. :)
It's pretty much hacking, it is using clear debug-level information to locate things that the player is never supposed to locate this way (also using world generation information that are not given to the player in game), so ..... hacking feels illegal, that's how it is.

This refers to the fact that you can have chest at precise coordinates (9,9), not to the chart that you can display if you know the shortcuts. The pie chart exist, and it is not connected to the fact that some chunks in a specific biome can have a specific chest hidden at a location that is now known.
Not quite, i also thought that too. If u have a forest biome (for example) in the 9 - 9, but it's 1 block away from beach, apparently it can still spawn, happened to me yesterday and I was confused af 💀

Pie chart doesn't work, tried multiple versions and launchers (1.16.5, 1.17.1 and 1.19.3 on lunar, feather and default) If you have any ideas to help I'd love to hear them.
i tried this and my block entity counter isnt spiking. i even tried testing it by placing a chest in the chunk behind me and it still didnt spike when i turned to face it

This is great and all, but for 2k monitors, unless you minimise your game window, the slice of the piechart we're interested in is extremely thin, so it difficult to detect a chang to it's breadth.

Normally when someone posts a vid of my strat and doesn't credit me I get angry/annoyed because it's typically just low effort and inaccurate shit to try and appeal to larger audiences. However this was genuinely a really good explanation of the strat, and better than mine, which has grown outdated. I see your getting into mc speedrunning strats, just a heads up though, the community cares a lot about giving strat creators proper credit. It doesn't have to be much, just like mention their name in the vid, credit them in description, or link their original tutorial. Thanks

well with this trick that orange slice of the pie is showing all block entities, so you wouldn’t know if it was a chest or mob spawner etc. I also have never tried it with high RD. This is honestly a really good question that I don’t really have enough experience to answer.

Honestly, I appreciate it, because finding buried treasure is an annoying hassle without that knowledge. Put simply, for someone with my attention span, however good the rewards are, they won't be worth the effort, quadruply so if its near or in water. "Oh it's too easy" actually 30 minutes of hassle for like, at most a couple diamonds, some chainmail, and a heart of the sea is not worth it, since Im usually out exploring only after ive gotten established. Conduits are cool, but I honestly only ever need one for when I decide that an ocean temple is no longer going to exist anymore.
@@jt9324x Yes, i know. I located a buried treasure and confirmed it was there in spectator afterwards. I tried the trick knowing there was a buried treasure there, and it didn't work. Eventually I got it to work in 1.16.1 (only sometimes) but not any other versions.

no burried treasures spawn randomly, ive also tried finding them in speedruns and when i went into creative and checked the nearest burried treasure it was like 500 blocks away
Amazing video and very informative! I seem to be having a weird issue though where root.gameRenderer.level.entities (not in te blockentities bit), will only show [?]unspecified😬. I'm running a vanilla client on 1.17.1. Was this patched? Or is there a simple fix anyone knows of? 🤔
Just letting everyone know that if you are doing this on 1.16.1 on starlight you need to make sure Entity Culling is off otherwise block entities won't show
sadly the whole pie chart is really weird in like 1.17 and up. I'm not gonna say it doesn't work cause I'm not 100% sure but it's probably different or harder.

It's not working for me. I'm doing all the steps and it only shows GameRenderer and sortEntitylist and it doesnt peak when i look at a buried trease

1.17 changed the pie chart, most runners play on 1.16.1

well if you have the map, all you have to do is get close to the X and then use the 9, 9 trick I mentioned at the end
