And therein lies the problem. Once you give more, you'll never be able to give them less...which is an inherent problem with socialized systems.
The entire public education system needs to be audited and completely reformed. We throw trillions of dollars towards this beaurecratic education system, and we aren't even in the Top 20 of World Rankings when it comes to higher education. In fact, other countries laugh at us.

@@WhoaBoOther countries laugh at Americans because we lack a civil education. We let the American government have blank checks for war. In the EU they give 5 years of guaranteed unemployment. They have Universal healthcare and affordable college.

It’s called BUDGETING. Just like every family in America has to make those “tough decisions.” Instead school boards caved to union pressures and horrible budgeting practices. STOP the money printing. Live within your means.

Why PANDEMIC money for schools when schools were closed, hired extra help with no students to teach at schools.

It was to pay for the support required when students returned to school - extra teachers meant, less children in each class (less likelihood of spreading Covid) and more importantly Tutors required to help catch students up on what they missed.

That's why I teach math in a foreign country online now. Expect better. Have some standards !! Expect competition !! I did. Now I have better students, better parents, better administrators and far better stability. Good luck, American kids will be working for my students one day.

There are still teacher shortages in many states- Providence school district in RI is hiring. Many states are hiring. I always recommend that teachers transfer their credentials to at least one other state. I am in CA and have transferred my credentials to OR and WA.

Education is a right for all children and should be provided equally across the country. As an Australian, I can't understand how school districts manage the funding, resources and curriculum for their schools. Our States are responsible for that and every child in state schools receives the same funding, resources and curriculum as every other child. There is an Australian Curriculum that overseas the individual State Curriculums and Federal Govt also provide funding to each State for education, as well as support funding to Private and Catholic schools.

I don't have any sympathy for public school system. Just as the private sector face cutbacks and layoffs, the public sector should face the wrath.
Parents are removing their kids from public schools because of woke policies some blue precincts have incorporated. Some parents are home schooling or going charter schools. Less children in public schools equates to less public funds.

You answer is throw more money, you teachers are not real teachers anymore, the kids are getting dumber and you didn't want to go Bk and teach only good thing about it is the parents seen you all wasting their tax money and thinking your on permanent holiday 💯🤔

It's all wasted when it's from the government, they need to stay out of education and leave it to the states as designed in the separation of powers.
