Carbon Tax is punitive. We pay for it all the way down supply chain. And the end consumer pays it. Its not just on our individual utilities and gas. Furthermore it is not even it's significantly more depending where you live in this country.
The rebate doesn't cover it.

Justin Trudeau has literally made reference to wild fires while defending the tax on pollution otherwise known as the carbon tax. That is a pretty big implication.

Listen it’s simple. The CT gets passed on to the consumer at every point. Also, the consumer pays the industrial CT as that gets passed on to consumers as well!! We pay way more than we get back!
Annual forest fire burn area is down more than 90% from what it was in the early 1900s. I don't think that massive reduction was caused by "climate change", I think it was caused by forestry management and their heroic fire fighters.
Not only is the carbon tax bad economics, costly, and inefficient, it is not even hitting its stated goal of reducing admissions.😢

The carbon tax should be used as a fund to help Canadians affected by fires, floods, droughts, smoke etc...
Why not a commuter tax? Commuters have destroyed small town economies and way of life in Canada!
How about an EV tax which pays for them being on the roads? Gas tax help pay for roads and EV’s don’t pay a cent. A mileage tax is needed at about 25 cents per km as EV’s added weight which is more harmful on our roads.
Electrical infrastructure needs to be maintained and paid for as well.

I like the carbon tax. I get $560.00 a year back, and I KNOW that truckers, farmers, grocery stores, et al have no plans to lower prices when it's gone. They will pocket the extra profit, and we will stop getting $550.00 back per year.

It's a punitive tax that flows all the way down the supply chain to the end user. You pay carbon tax on every goods and services you purchase. It isn't just on your natural gas, gasoline, electricity, and oil changes. You aren't getting all your money back, and depending where you live in this country it's significantly higher. Don't be fooled.
