If he had not been paying his tickets, why was there no lien placed on his car to enable an impound?

in the UK, no licence or insurance means the car is immediately seized. Ditto if the vehicle is not legally documented. Glad the authorities over there have started the ball rolling.

We don't know the environment the LEO's were in. If they were not backed by the department, then they are gonna take the easy road. The Ticket-and-Tow policy needs to have the support of superiors in order to work. That kid, however, needs to have his car CONFISCATED.
Outrageous, a co-worker of mine was hit by a guy without insurance. It killed his wife and 16 y/o son. It left him permanently disabled and a single parent of a 13 y/o daughter. He lost his gorgeous home they built together, his 150K+ job. His master's degree is useless. The guy who hit them died. I could write a book on how this affected his life. In my State you don't drive off without insurance.😡

This is stupid . I am retired PO . In NY after 12 points on your License about 4 to 5 tickets, you get a suspended license. You get pulled over driving suspended arrest them and impound the car . Its pretty simple .

Here in denmark, they can take the car and you don´t get it back.

More than 5 tickets ....get his license suspended if he still drive afterwards take his car for sale and lock them up for 2 months.

The law on the books is probably sufficient. I do like the ticket and tow option though.
This punk needs to lose his car and get 90-day sentences every time he gets stopped, and tow every time. Plus, he has to pay all his outstanding tickets before they release the car. Lock him up before someone gets hurt, or worse, killed.

Damn, this is horrible. Maybe they can put speed bumbs down the street 🤷🏻♀️. Idk if that’s a solution, but maybe a prevention at least?? Because they definitely don’t want to damage their own car. So it would stop them from mobbing down the road. I would imagine it’s not a good idea for good drivers.
Just hope this gets resolved so no one else gets hurt god forbid.

Ok if the police policy was like this, it's ridiculous but that's one thing. But according to this he's been stopped by other law enforcement agencies including sheriff's offices. What's their excuses?

@@joethelawyer367 maybe. I don't know the politics over there. But from afar it looks like police didn't like the policy put in place by city council. So them and other law enforcement in the area said they'll make it a problem. To the point it will make the news and there will be public outcry. I've seen where police will under patrol in a area because they didn't like a policy the mayor or city council put in place and once there was public outcry, stuff changed
How frigging stupid is that state? Here in Florida if you drive on a suspended license or drive without one you go to JAIL period. Especially if you have unpaid traffic fines. Must be a democratic state.

black privilege...naah, this is just the area, trust me, cops don't treat me this good where im at now..and even in my old area, people get off with serious crimes with a mere slap on the wrists ...know a white dude involved in a robbery who only got 4 years, and a black guy who also only got 5....
Gotta disagree, Joe. In this case the driver has no plates, no license, and no insurance. He is acting totally illegally and by posting videos he is rubbing the police and states noses in it. And worse than that, he is just counting down the days until he does cause an accident, possibly with fatal consequences.
A car in the wrong hands is every bit as dangerous as a gun in the wrong hands. This maniac is already a danger to others, to police, and to himself. He needs to be taken off the roads permanently, and I frankly don't care if that means Mr Sparky getting involved. I care more about the public than the safety of some arrogant boy racer who flatly refuses to abide by the law.

Makes me laugh do people ever come up with laws before bad shit happens. Internet bullying and other stuff done online. Oh, we didn't know what online would become so we have no laws in place. Stalking laws done nothing about it until many women suffered and lost their lives. Same as the Amber Alert this was created until many kids lost their lives including Amber.
