I would give it 3 or 4. I think the video goes well hand in hand with the song. It has clear idea and to me it doesnt seem like just scenes slapped to a song, I think this is great video. You ask by what standards but the thing is that if someone thinks its awesome its their opinion and you should respect that rather than ask by what standard. makes you sound like you think that your opinion is right and others arent
To all the people asking him its probally on your comp just check your programs. Import your eps make a bunch of 5 second clips of cool moments with a song that correlates overlaying it.

We're listening to the same song, right? Pain by JEW - it's about taking drugs as an escape. It's even possible to do it to Naruto, by having the 'drug' be fighting - but the creator just put scenes together that fit with the music, not with the lyrics.
Everyone's entitled to an opinion, of course, I just prefer mine to be backed up with logical reasoning, so I'm confident when I give them. Making an AMV that actually fits to lyrics is pretty darn tough, take it from me.

You know...I'd like to start a project for AMV makers to gather a resource of raw Naruto anime episodes. There's one going on NarutoFan's forums but they're taking a long time to do anything (and they're not up for download).
Bittorrent is filesharing, where you download a program like Azureus and then use a bittorrent search engine to find what you want, then download the file to put into the program, which will download the actual file. (there are guides online...) I'll download 50 episode files at a time and it will take a week or so. >.
what contest is everyone talking about? if theres still time i know some one who should go in it
I use bittorrent and my editing program is iMovie that comes with my Mac (and does like no special effects) because I don't have enough memory on my laptop for Final Cut Pro. >.

Yeah, the color changing effects in iMovie kinda suck, but they're pretty much the only decent effect in the first place that iMovie has... Meh.
Actually, no. Do you know how hard it is to go through the episodes and only use clips without subtitles? It takes forever.
