Yes BUT that is fairly new information that was certainly not known to Rascher's teachers. Original-style performances didn't really become a thing until he was middle-aged, and as a saxophone player he would not have been first to hear about baroque research, plus he was known for sticking with traditional ways (which in his case would include starting trills on the main note).
same I have only 2 weeks left to learn for my school mandatory solos that determine whether or not you get kicked out of the school and I'm only through 1st and half of the 2nd movement. I'm so screwed. haha

I'm a high school junior and I have to learn this in a week for Dorian music festival...
All movements?

😂 kinda nerve racking since I have to learn 1,2,and 4 in a month and 2/4 and I would probably be expected to do it by memory too
Hey no worries I was scared too but its coming along well and trust me if I can do it you can to im just nervous about performing it
This is stunning honestly I have a little less than 3 months to learn this for a college audition and I’m scared lol
I'm learning this for a Performance Assessment in College. It's tricky but doable.
I'd say that no matter what, write in your own Breath marks, don't stop on mistakes, and you got it.
