    really cool project! is it possible to sync the two video inputs so that they can both be seen clearly? like say for example two drone cameras that have rca output but different color filters on the camera, then combine their video into one?

    Beautiful piece. Congratulations. Work for digital video?

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  3 года назад

      Yes! It depends exactly what kind of digital
      Video you refer to. But let’s say you want to use your computer or camera you can use an RCA to HDMI adaptor. For my DSLR I had to use a MINI HDMI to HDMI and then connect that to the RCA to HDMI to get it thru the mixer!

  • @nomorecihan
    @nomorecihan 4 года назад +2

    yo! thank you your video is really helpful as i'm planning to solder my own video mixer too, could you do a video where you show your setup? it would be awesome and also helpful!

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  4 года назад +1

      Thank you! I have been thinking of making another video again soon. By set up do you mean the set up for mixing and recording the videos? Lol I would do something like that but I don’t really have a “set up” like a desk with a whole thing you’d see on RUclips. But if you mean the set up for the mixing I can possibly make a video about that! I’ve also been wanting to make another mixer since I made this one. I’m going to be screening a video I made with the mixer soon if you’d like I can share the details with you!

    • @guavaberry

    Where can I find a quality hmdi to rca adapter for say, a DSLR? If I wanted to hook one up to a video mixer.

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  3 года назад +2

      I use mine with my DSLR too! Just look up RCA to HDMI and it will pop up on Amazon, they vary in pricing. I got mine in person at PC Richardson as when I made this video it was still quarantine times in NYC and I wanted to not order online/support a local spot.

      @@guavaberry Thank you! I've been trying to find an alternate way to involve cameras in my video mixing experiments (I had an old JVC i used to use but it unfortunately gave out) and the DSLR stuff you were doing in your video looks awesome!

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  3 года назад +1

      @@bradleyjohnson8780 thank you so much! I really want to get back into it and keep using this channel to upload videos. Not sure if they will all be like this but lol I enjoyed it and am so glad I made this. Btw the rca to hdmi I use it by using an HDMI cable to the camera and then plug the other end to the hdmi/rca adapter since my canons use the mini hdmi I had a special cable for that but with older cam corders you should be fine. If you Check out the “synthesized memories” video I uploaded right after making this video for my experimental film class and at the time my neighbor gave me an old VHS camera which I plugged into the mixer using one of those adapter as well

    Okay I feel dumb asking but what rca colors did you hook up, where?

    • @guavaberry

      You wanna use the yellow part that’s for video

    • @megan8494
      @megan8494 Год назад

      @@guavaberry thank you! So one yellow from video in on the tv to the tv out on the box?

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  Год назад +1

      @@megan8494 exactly yes, then the yellow input on your video device goes to the two inputs on the mixer, if you want audio just use those other cables into an Audio device like a mixer that’s what I did recently, should I make another video about it?

    the colors you get out of your mixer seem a lot darker, as opposed to some really bright and rainbow-y ones i've seen (I like yours much better). Do you know why that is? I'd like to make mine get similar results to yours

    • @guavaberry
      @guavaberry  4 года назад +1

      That’s interesting. I would be willing to set up an experiment to test out why! I have feeling it might be because of our display. I was using my smart tv for this because I didn’t have any other choice. I would like to try out with CRT screens because I think it would the best option for this device
