So what's you opinion on the bosses desing? Are they just more strict and punishing but still fair or it's From stepping again into that DS2 artificial difficulty territory?

If I can add my two cents.
      It’s simply scaling.
The majority of the dlc bosses aren’t necessarily harder mechanic wise than the base game, but they do much more damage and have much larger health pools.
So your mechanics have to be on point to mitigate or avoid as many attacks as possible.
The overall boss and miniboss design is amazing though. Maybe there are a couple bosses that were lackluster though.

I don't even know what would count as "artificial" difficulty in this dlc maybe except Radahn second phase. I don't even know how you could say that when dlc has some of the best designed bosses ever with Messmer, Rellana and Midra

@@Jay_Tsunami_Yeah, it felt like a scaling issue to me too. Though I have beaten the final boss 3 times solo and still don't like them.

"Artificial" is funny word ngl, it has no exact meaning whatsoever and is usually used by DS3 veterans who name everything they don't understand "artificial" or "unfair" just to cope. In base game and DLC, like 98% attacks can be easily avoided consistently, don't exactly know what would be artificial or unfair about it

Shadow of the Erdtree overall follows the same formula that the base game left, though for endgame wise challenge, so we won´t find as much boss fights akin to Godrick, Margit or Renalla, but to Maliketh, Malenia or Mogh difficulty wise.
Although there are things different worth to mention:
The balance is around a collectable object that straight up improves you. So at first you may feel overwhelmed stat wise, although as an incise, defensive equipment is very recommended regardless because this is endgame damage.
Apart of some weird hitboxes ,the camera, and the serious optimization issue, all of them very valid complains boss fights are mostly great design wise.
I would consider that the final boss is not as unfair, just that how it works makes it painful to learn for the fact that you can´t see anything on second phase. But once you learn how to avoid it, apparently for some people it became a lot of fun, so I would recommend to wait and see if this is a Malenia situation, where she was hated by everybody and then she got a place in the heart for some people, or is genuely just a bad boss.
