- UNOFFICIAL video of Marine Corps Boot Camp circa. 1995. This video was shot at Parris Island, SC by two Marines from Recruiting Station Orlando, FL To help fight Recruit Depot attrition. The Orlando CO wanted to give recruits a first hand look at the training the young men were about to encounter, without the polish of an advertising agency. This video was to be shown to all recruits 30 prior to shipping to MCRD.
That ending speech should be the recruiting commercial. Real talk.
That ending speech is my buddy Gordon "Lou" Gregory, a Silver Star recipient. He's the real deal to this day. He hasn't changed a bit. Great guy and a better friend. Thank you for your service brother.
Graduated 5 May 1995 Platoon 2082. Exactly what I remember and I look back at it with fondnes. Giant part of the man I am today. Thanks for the video.

Gary, thanks for the video and memories. I was in 1995 June 19 I arrived. 3009 Kilo company. I remember people recording us a couple of times and at the end of bootcamp the Senior DI Gunny Sanders played the video for us. I was so hoping to see my platoon. But this was great.
I was in around that time. The difference was that the D.I.s would jumble their words together incoherently so we couldn’t understand what they were saying. And we weren’t doing “sir” sandwiches in ‘95 at MCRDSD. Our response was simply, “Yes sir!”
what plt were you in ? I was in 3009 kilo company
I'm circa 1994. Scary times. But we'll worth it.
I entered MCRD PI in October 23, 1995
I left 3 days before you got there

How do you know they dont i went in 2004 and it was worse
@seth Tull ... Not to take anything away from you chief, but I doubt it was worse in 2004 that it was in 1986 bro
This was "Clinton Era"...
@@suaiman4263 Wouldn’t boot camp be more somewhat more challenging as the Marine Corps wasn’t in peacetime in 2004 unlike in 1986?
